ب-ر-ا
بَرَآءَةٞ
بَرَآءَةٌ
barāatun
Freedom from obligations
م-ن
مِّنَ
مِّنَ
mina
from
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهِ
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
Allah
ر-س-ل
وَرَسُولِهِۦٓ
وَرَسُوْلِهٖۤ
warasūlihi
and His Messenger
ا-ل-ي
إِلَى
اِلَی
ilā
to
ا-ل-ل-ذ
ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
those (with) whom
ع-ه-د
عَٰهَدتُّم
عٰهَدْتُّمْ
ʿāhadttum
you made a
م-ن
مِّنَ
مِّنَ
mina
from
ش-ر-ك
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ
l-mush'rikīna
the polytheists.

۟ؕ
(1)
9:2
س-ي-ح
فَسِيحُواْ
فَسِیْحُوْا
fasīḥū
So move about
ف-ي
فِي
فِی
fī
in
ا-ر-ض
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
الْاَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the land
ر-ب-ع
أَرۡبَعَةَ
اَرْبَعَةَ
arbaʿata
(during) four
ش-ه-ر
أَشۡهُرٖ
اَشْهُرٍ
ashhurin
months
ع-ل-م
وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ
وَّاعْلَمُوْۤا
wa-iʿ'lamū
but know
ا-ن-ن
أَنَّكُمۡ
اَنَّكُمْ
annakum
that you
غ-ي-ر
غَيۡرُ
غَیْرُ
ghayru
(can) not
ع-ج-ز
مُعۡجِزِي
مُعْجِزِی
muʿ'jizī
escape
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهِ
اللّٰهِ ۙ—
l-lahi
Allah
ا-ن-ن
وَأَنَّ
وَاَنَّ
wa-anna
and that
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهَ
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
خ-ز-ي
مُخۡزِي
مُخْزِی
mukh'zī
(is) the One Who (will) disgrace
ك-ف-ر
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
الْكٰفِرِیْنَ
l-kāfirīna
the disbelievers.

۟
(2)
9:3
ا-ذ-ن
وَأَذَٰنٞ
وَاَذَانٌ
wa-adhānun
And an announcement
م-ن
مِّنَ
مِّنَ
mina
from Allah
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهِ
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
from Allah
ر-س-ل
وَرَسُولِهِۦٓ
وَرَسُوْلِهٖۤ
warasūlihi
and His Messenger
ا-ل-ي
إِلَى
اِلَی
ilā
to
ن-و-س
ٱلنَّاسِ
النَّاسِ
n-nāsi
the people
ي-و-م
يَوۡمَ
یَوْمَ
yawma
(on the) day
ح-ج-ج
ٱلۡحَجِّ
الْحَجِّ
l-ḥaji
(of) the greater Pilgrimage
ك-ب-ر
ٱلۡأَكۡبَرِ
الْاَكْبَرِ
l-akbari
(of) the greater Pilgrimage
ا-ن-ن
أَنَّ
اَنَّ
anna
that
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهَ
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
ب-ر-ا
بَرِيٓءٞ
بَرِیْٓءٌ
barīon
(is) free from obligations
م-ن
مِّنَ
مِّنَ
mina
[of]
ش-ر-ك
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ ۙ۬—
l-mush'rikīna
(to) the polytheists,
ر-س-ل
وَرَسُولُهُۥۚ
وَرَسُوْلُهٗ ؕ—
warasūluhu
and (so is) His Messenger.
ا-ن
فَإِن
فَاِنْ
fa-in
So if
ت-و-ب
تُبۡتُمۡ
تُبْتُمْ
tub'tum
you repent,
ه-و
فَهُوَ
فَهُوَ
fahuwa
then, it is
خ-ي-ر
خَيۡرٞ
خَیْرٌ
khayrun
best
ل
لَّكُمۡۖ
لَّكُمْ ۚ—
lakum
for you.
ا-ن
وَإِن
وَاِنْ
wa-in
But if
و-ل-ي
تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ
تَوَلَّیْتُمْ
tawallaytum
you turn away
ع-ل-م
فَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ
فَاعْلَمُوْۤا
fa-iʿ'lamū
then know
ا-ن-ن
أَنَّكُمۡ
اَنَّكُمْ
annakum
that you
غ-ي-ر
غَيۡرُ
غَیْرُ
ghayru
(can) not
ع-ج-ز
مُعۡجِزِي
مُعْجِزِی
muʿ'jizī
escape
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهِۗ
اللّٰهِ ؕ—
l-lahi
Allah.
ب-ش-ر
وَبَشِّرِ
وَبَشِّرِ
wabashiri
And give glad tidings
ا-ل-ل-ذ
ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
(to) those who
ك-ف-ر
كَفَرُواْ
كَفَرُوْا
kafarū
disbelieve
ع-ذ-ب
بِعَذَابٍ
بِعَذَابٍ
biʿadhābin
of a punishment
ا-ل-م
أَلِيمٍ
اَلِیْمٍ
alīmin
painful.

۟ۙ
(3)
9:4
ا-ل-ل-ا
إِلَّا
اِلَّا
illā
Except
ا-ل-ل-ذ
ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
those (with) whom
ع-ه-د
عَٰهَدتُّم
عٰهَدْتُّمْ
ʿāhadttum
you have a
م-ن
مِّنَ
مِّنَ
mina
among
ش-ر-ك
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ
l-mush'rikīna
the polytheists,
ث-م-م
ثُمَّ
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
ل-م
لَمۡ
لَمْ
lam
not
ن-ق-ص
يَنقُصُوكُمۡ
یَنْقُصُوْكُمْ
yanquṣūkum
they have failed you
ش-ي-ا
شَيۡـٔٗا
شَیْـًٔا
shayan
(in any) thing
ل-م
وَلَمۡ
وَّلَمْ
walam
and not
ظ-ه-ر
يُظَٰهِرُواْ
یُظَاهِرُوْا
yuẓāhirū
they have supported
ع-ل-ي
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
عَلَیْكُمْ
ʿalaykum
against you
ا-ح-د
أَحَدٗا
اَحَدًا
aḥadan
anyone,
ت-م-م
فَأَتِمُّوٓاْ
فَاَتِمُّوْۤا
fa-atimmū
so fulfil
ا-ل-ي
إِلَيۡهِمۡ
اِلَیْهِمْ
ilayhim
to them
ع-ه-د
عَهۡدَهُمۡ
عَهْدَهُمْ
ʿahdahum
their treaty
ا-ل-ي
إِلَىٰ
اِلٰی
ilā
till
م-د-د
مُدَّتِهِمۡۚ
مُدَّتِهِمْ ؕ—
muddatihim
their term.
ا-ن-ن
إِنَّ
اِنَّ
inna
Indeed,
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهَ
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
ح-ب-ب
يُحِبُّ
یُحِبُّ
yuḥibbu
loves
و-ق-ي
ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ
الْمُتَّقِیْنَ
l-mutaqīna
the righteous.
٤
۟
(4)
9:5
ا-ذ-ا
فَإِذَا
فَاِذَا
fa-idhā
Then when
س-ل-خ
ٱنسَلَخَ
انْسَلَخَ
insalakha
have passed
ش-ه-ر
ٱلۡأَشۡهُرُ
الْاَشْهُرُ
l-ashhuru
the sacred months,
ح-ر-م
ٱلۡحُرُمُ
الْحُرُمُ
l-ḥurumu
the sacred months,
ق-ت-ل
فَٱقۡتُلُواْ
فَاقْتُلُوا
fa-uq'tulū
then kill
ش-ر-ك
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ
l-mush'rikīna
the polytheists
ح-ي-ث
حَيۡثُ
حَیْثُ
ḥaythu
wherever
و-ج-د
وَجَدتُّمُوهُمۡ
وَجَدْتُّمُوْهُمْ
wajadttumūhum
you find them
ا-خ-ذ
وَخُذُوهُمۡ
وَخُذُوْهُمْ
wakhudhūhum
and seize them
ح-ص-ر
وَٱحۡصُرُوهُمۡ
وَاحْصُرُوْهُمْ
wa-uḥ'ṣurūhum
and besiege them
ق-ع-د
وَٱقۡعُدُواْ
وَاقْعُدُوْا
wa-uq'ʿudū
and sit (in wait)
ل
لَهُمۡ
لَهُمْ
lahum
for them
ك-ل-ل
كُلَّ
كُلَّ
kulla
(at) every
ر-ص-د
مَرۡصَدٖۚ
مَرْصَدٍ ۚ—
marṣadin
place of ambush.
ا-ن
فَإِن
فَاِنْ
fa-in
But if
ت-و-ب
تَابُواْ
تَابُوْا
tābū
they repent
ق-و-م
وَأَقَامُواْ
وَاَقَامُوا
wa-aqāmū
and establish
ص-ل-و
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
الصَّلٰوةَ
ṣ-ṣalata
the prayer
ا-ت-ي
وَءَاتَوُاْ
وَاٰتَوُا
waātawū
and give
ز-ك-و
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
الزَّكٰوةَ
z-zakata
the zakah
خ-ل-و
فَخَلُّواْ
فَخَلُّوْا
fakhallū
then leave
س-ب-ل
سَبِيلَهُمۡۚ
سَبِیْلَهُمْ ؕ—
sabīlahum
their way.
ا-ن-ن
إِنَّ
اِنَّ
inna
Indeed,
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهَ
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
غ-ف-ر
غَفُورٞ
غَفُوْرٌ
ghafūrun
(is) Oft-Forgiving,
ر-ح-م
رَّحِيمٞ
رَّحِیْمٌ
raḥīmun
Most Merciful.
٥
۟
(5)
9:6
ا-ن
وَإِنۡ
وَاِنْ
wa-in
And if
ا-ح-د
أَحَدٞ
اَحَدٌ
aḥadun
anyone
م-ن
مِّنَ
مِّنَ
mina
of
ش-ر-ك
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ
l-mush'rikīna
the polytheists
ج-و-ر
ٱسۡتَجَارَكَ
اسْتَجَارَكَ
is'tajāraka
seek your protection
ج-و-ر
فَأَجِرۡهُ
فَاَجِرْهُ
fa-ajir'hu
then grant him protection
ح-ت-ت-ي
حَتَّىٰ
حَتّٰی
ḥattā
until
س-م-ع
يَسۡمَعَ
یَسْمَعَ
yasmaʿa
he hears
ك-ل-م
كَلَٰمَ
كَلٰمَ
kalāma
(the) Words of Allah.
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهِ
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
(the) Words of Allah.
ث-م-م
ثُمَّ
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
ب-ل-غ
أَبۡلِغۡهُ
اَبْلِغْهُ
abligh'hu
escort him
ا-م-ن
مَأۡمَنَهُۥۚ
مَاْمَنَهٗ ؕ—
mamanahu
(to) his place of safety.
ذ-ل-ك
ذَٰلِكَ
ذٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
ا-ن-ن
بِأَنَّهُمۡ
بِاَنَّهُمْ
bi-annahum
(is) because they
ق-و-م
قَوۡمٞ
قَوْمٌ
qawmun
(are) a people
ل-ا
لَّا
لَّا
lā
(who) do not know.
ع-ل-م
يَعۡلَمُونَ
یَعْلَمُوْنَ
yaʿlamūna
(who) do not know.
٦
۟۠
(6)
9:7
ك-ي-ف
كَيۡفَ
كَیْفَ
kayfa
How
ك-و-ن
يَكُونُ
یَكُوْنُ
yakūnu
can (there) be
ش-ر-ك
لِلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
لِلْمُشْرِكِیْنَ
lil'mush'rikīna
for the polytheists
ع-ه-د
عَهۡدٌ
عَهْدٌ
ʿahdun
a covenant
ع-ن-د
عِندَ
عِنْدَ
ʿinda
with
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهِ
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
Allah
ع-ن-د
وَعِندَ
وَعِنْدَ
waʿinda
and with
ر-س-ل
رَسُولِهِۦٓ
رَسُوْلِهٖۤ
rasūlihi
His Messenger,
ا-ل-ل-ا
إِلَّا
اِلَّا
illā
except
ا-ل-ل-ذ
ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
those (with) whom
ع-ه-د
عَٰهَدتُّمۡ
عٰهَدْتُّمْ
ʿāhadttum
you made a
ع-ن-د
عِندَ
عِنْدَ
ʿinda
near
س-ج-د
ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ
الْمَسْجِدِ
l-masjidi
Al-Masjid Al-Haraam?
ح-ر-م
ٱلۡحَرَامِۖ
الْحَرَامِ ۚ—
l-ḥarāmi
Al-Masjid Al-Haraam?
م-ا
فَمَا
فَمَا
famā
So long as
ق-و-م
ٱسۡتَقَٰمُواْ
اسْتَقَامُوْا
is'taqāmū
they are upright
ل
لَكُمۡ
لَكُمْ
lakum
to you
ق-و-م
فَٱسۡتَقِيمُواْ
فَاسْتَقِیْمُوْا
fa-is'taqīmū
then you be upright
ل
لَهُمۡۚ
لَهُمْ ؕ—
lahum
to them.
ا-ن-ن
إِنَّ
اِنَّ
inna
Indeed,
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهَ
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
ح-ب-ب
يُحِبُّ
یُحِبُّ
yuḥibbu
loves
و-ق-ي
ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ
الْمُتَّقِیْنَ
l-mutaqīna
the righteous.
٧
۟
(7)
9:8
ك-ي-ف
كَيۡفَ
كَیْفَ
kayfa
How
ا-ن
وَإِن
وَاِنْ
wa-in
while, if
ظ-ه-ر
يَظۡهَرُواْ
یَّظْهَرُوْا
yaẓharū
they gain dominance
ع-ل-ي
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
عَلَیْكُمْ
ʿalaykum
over you
ل-ا
لَا
لَا
lā
they do not regard (the ties)
ر-ق-ب
يَرۡقُبُواْ
یَرْقُبُوْا
yarqubū
they do not regard (the ties)
ف-ي
فِيكُمۡ
فِیْكُمْ
fīkum
with you
ا-ل-ل
إِلّٗا
اِلًّا
illan
(of) kinship
ل-ا
وَلَا
وَّلَا
walā
and not
ذ-م-م
ذِمَّةٗۚ
ذِمَّةً ؕ—
dhimmatan
covenant of protection?
ر-ض-و
يُرۡضُونَكُم
یُرْضُوْنَكُمْ
yur'ḍūnakum
They satisfy you
ف-و-ه
بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ
بِاَفْوَاهِهِمْ
bi-afwāhihim
with their mouths
ا-ب-ي
وَتَأۡبَىٰ
وَتَاْبٰی
watabā
but refuse,
ق-ل-ب
قُلُوبُهُمۡ
قُلُوْبُهُمْ ۚ—
qulūbuhum
their hearts
ك-ث-ر
وَأَكۡثَرُهُمۡ
وَاَكْثَرُهُمْ
wa-aktharuhum
and most of them
ف-س-ق
فَٰسِقُونَ
فٰسِقُوْنَ
fāsiqūna
(are) defiantly disobedient.
٨
۟ۚ
(8)
9:9
ش-ر-ي
ٱشۡتَرَوۡاْ
اِشْتَرَوْا
ish'taraw
They exchange
ا-ي-ا
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
بِاٰیٰتِ
biāyāti
[with] the Verses of Allah
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهِ
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
[with] the Verses of Allah
ث-م-ن
ثَمَنٗا
ثَمَنًا
thamanan
(for) a little price,
ق-ل-ل
قَلِيلٗا
قَلِیْلًا
qalīlan
(for) a little price,
ص-د-د
فَصَدُّواْ
فَصَدُّوْا
faṣaddū
and they hinder (people)
ع-ن
عَن
عَنْ
ʿan
from
س-ب-ل
سَبِيلِهِۦٓۚ
سَبِیْلِهٖ ؕ—
sabīlihi
His way.
ا-ن-ن
إِنَّهُمۡ
اِنَّهُمْ
innahum
Indeed,
س-و-ا
سَآءَ
سَآءَ
sāa
evil
م-ا
مَا
مَا
mā
(is) what
ك-و-ن
كَانُواْ
كَانُوْا
kānū
they used to
ع-م-ل
يَعۡمَلُونَ
یَعْمَلُوْنَ
yaʿmalūna
do.
٩
۟
(9)
9:10
ل-ا
لَا
لَا
lā
Not
ر-ق-ب
يَرۡقُبُونَ
یَرْقُبُوْنَ
yarqubūna
they respect (the ties)
ف-ي
فِي
فِیْ
fī
towards
ا-م-ن
مُؤۡمِنٍ
مُؤْمِنٍ
mu'minin
a believer
ا-ل-ل
إِلّٗا
اِلًّا
illan
(of) kinship
ل-ا
وَلَا
وَّلَا
walā
and not
ذ-م-م
ذِمَّةٗۚ
ذِمَّةً ؕ—
dhimmatan
covenant of protection.
ا-و-ل-ا
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
وَاُولٰٓىِٕكَ
wa-ulāika
And those
ه-م
هُمُ
هُمُ
humu
[they]
ع-د-و
ٱلۡمُعۡتَدُونَ
الْمُعْتَدُوْنَ
l-muʿ'tadūna
(are) the transgressors.
