س-ب-ح

سُبۡحَٰنَ
سُبْحٰنَ
sub'ḥāna
Exalted
ا-ل-ل-ذ
![]()
ٱلَّذِيٓ
الَّذِیْۤ
alladhī
(is) the One Who
س-ر-و
![]()
أَسۡرَىٰ
اَسْرٰی
asrā
took
ع-ب-د
![]()
بِعَبۡدِهِۦ
بِعَبْدِهٖ
biʿabdihi
His servant
ل-ي-ل
![]()
لَيۡلٗا
لَیْلًا
laylan
(by) night
م-ن
![]()
مِّنَ
مِّنَ
mina
from
س-ج-د
![]()
ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ
الْمَسْجِدِ
l-masjidi
Al-Masjid Al-Haraam,
ح-ر-م
![]()
ٱلۡحَرَامِ
الْحَرَامِ
l-ḥarāmi
Al-Masjid Al-Haraam,
ا-ل-ي
![]()
إِلَى
اِلَی
ilā
to
س-ج-د
![]()
ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ
الْمَسْجِدِ
l-masjidi
Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa
ق-ص-و
![]()
ٱلۡأَقۡصَا
الْاَقْصَا
l-aqṣā
Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa
ا-ل-ل-ذ
![]()
ٱلَّذِي
الَّذِیْ
alladhī
which
ب-ر-ك
![]()
بَٰرَكۡنَا
بٰرَكْنَا
bāraknā
We blessed
ح-و-ل
![]()
حَوۡلَهُۥ
حَوْلَهٗ
ḥawlahu
its surroundings,
ر-ا-ي
![]()
لِنُرِيَهُۥ
لِنُرِیَهٗ
linuriyahu
that We may show
م-ن
![]()
مِنۡ
مِنْ
min
of
ا-ي-ا
![]()
ءَايَٰتِنَآۚ
اٰیٰتِنَا ؕ—
āyātinā
Our Signs.
ا-ن-ن
![]()
إِنَّهُۥ
اِنَّهٗ
innahu
Indeed He,
ه-و
![]()
هُوَ
هُوَ
huwa
He
س-م-ع
![]()
ٱلسَّمِيعُ
السَّمِیْعُ
s-samīʿu
(is) the All-Hearer,
ب-ص-ر
![]()
ٱلۡبَصِيرُ
الْبَصِیْرُ
l-baṣīru
the All-Seer.
Glory to the One who transported a devotee one night from the Sacred Mosque to the Furthest Mosque, whose precincts We blessed so We might show him some of Our signs. For God is the all-hearing, the all-seeing.

ا-ت-ي

وَءَاتَيۡنَا
وَاٰتَیْنَا
waātaynā
And We gave
م-و-س
![]()
مُوسَى
مُوْسَی
mūsā
Musa
ك-ت-ب
![]()
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
الْكِتٰبَ
l-kitāba
the Book,
ج-ع-ل
![]()
وَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ
وَجَعَلْنٰهُ
wajaʿalnāhu
and made it
ه-د-ي
![]()
هُدٗى
هُدًی
hudan
a guidance
ب-ن-و
![]()
لِّبَنِيٓ
لِّبَنِیْۤ
libanī
for the Children
ا-س-ر
![]()
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
اِسْرَآءِیْلَ
is'rāīla
(of) Israel,
ا-ل-ل-ا
![]()
أَلَّا
اَلَّا
allā
"That not
ا-خ-ذ
![]()
تَتَّخِذُواْ
تَتَّخِذُوْا
tattakhidhū
you take
م-ن
![]()
مِن
مِنْ
min
other than Me
د-و-ن
![]()
دُونِي
دُوْنِیْ
dūnī
other than Me
و-ك-ل
![]()
وَكِيلٗا
وَكِیْلًا
wakīlan
(as) a Disposer of affairs."
And We gave Moses scripture, and We made it guidance for the Israelites, that they should take none for a guardian other than Me.

ذ-ر-ر

ذُرِّیَّةَ
dhurriyyata
Offsprings
م-ن

مَنۡ
مَنْ
man
(of one) who
ح-م-ل
![]()
حَمَلۡنَا
حَمَلْنَا
ḥamalnā
We carried
م-ع
![]()
مَعَ
مَعَ
maʿa
with
ن-و-ح
![]()
نُوحٍۚ
نُوْحٍ ؕ—
nūḥin
Nuh.
ا-ن-ن
![]()
إِنَّهُۥ
اِنَّهٗ
innahu
Indeed, he
ك-و-ن
![]()
كَانَ
كَانَ
kāna
was
ع-ب-د
![]()
عَبۡدٗا
عَبْدًا
ʿabdan
a servant
ش-ك-ر
![]()
شَكُورٗا
شَكُوْرًا
shakūran
grateful.
Descendants of those We carried with Noah; who was a most grateful devotee.

ق-ض-ي

وَقَضَيۡنَآ
وَقَضَیْنَاۤ
waqaḍaynā
And We decreed
ا-ل-ي

إِلَىٰ
اِلٰی
ilā
for
ب-ن-و
![]()
بَنِيٓ
بَنِیْۤ
banī
(the) Children
ا-س-ر
![]()
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
اِسْرَآءِیْلَ
is'rāīla
(of) Israel
ف-ي
![]()
فِي
فِی
fī
in
ك-ت-ب
![]()
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
الْكِتٰبِ
l-kitābi
the Book,
ف-س-د
![]()
لَتُفۡسِدُنَّ
لَتُفْسِدُنَّ
latuf'sidunna
"Surely you will cause corruption
ف-ي
![]()
فِي
فِی
fī
in
ا-ر-ض
![]()
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
الْاَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
م-ر-ر
![]()
مَرَّتَيۡنِ
مَرَّتَیْنِ
marratayni
twice,
ع-ل-و
![]()
وَلَتَعۡلُنَّ
وَلَتَعْلُنَّ
walataʿlunna
and surely you will reach,
ع-ل-و
![]()
عُلُوّٗا
عُلُوًّا
ʿuluwwan
haughtiness
ك-ب-ر
![]()
كَبِيرٗا
كَبِیْرًا
kabīran
great."
And We decreed to the Israelites in the scripture, “You will create disorder on earth twice, and you will become inflated with arrogance.”

ا-ذ-ا

فَإِذَا
فَاِذَا
fa-idhā
So when
ج-ي-ا

جَآءَ
جَآءَ
jāa
came
و-ع-د
![]()
وَعۡدُ
وَعْدُ
waʿdu
(the) promise
ا-و-ل
![]()
أُولَىٰهُمَا
اُوْلٰىهُمَا
ūlāhumā
(for) the first of the two,
ب-ع-ث
![]()
بَعَثۡنَا
بَعَثْنَا
baʿathnā
We raised
ع-ل-ي
![]()
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
عَلَیْكُمْ
ʿalaykum
against you
ع-ب-د
![]()
عِبَادٗا
عِبَادًا
ʿibādan
servants
ل
![]()
لَّنَآ
لَّنَاۤ
lanā
of Ours
ا-و-ل
![]()
أُوْلِي
اُولِیْ
ulī
those of great military might
ب-ا-س
![]()
بَأۡسٖ
بَاْسٍ
basin
those of great military might
ش-د-د
![]()
شَدِيدٖ
شَدِیْدٍ
shadīdin
those of great military might
ج-و-س
![]()
فَجَاسُواْ
فَجَاسُوْا
fajāsū
and they entered
خ-ل-ل
![]()
خِلَٰلَ
خِلٰلَ
khilāla
the inner most part
د-و-ر
![]()
ٱلدِّيَارِۚ
الدِّیَارِ
d-diyāri
(of) the homes,
ك-و-ن
![]()
وَكَانَ
وَكَانَ
wakāna
and (it) was
و-ع-د
![]()
وَعۡدٗا
وَعْدًا
waʿdan
a promise
ف-ع-ل
![]()
مَّفۡعُولٗا
مَّفْعُوْلًا
mafʿūlan
fulfilled.
Now when the first prediction of the two came about, We sent servants of Ours capable of violent force, and they searched through the homes. And so one prediction was fulfilled.

thumma
Then
ر-د-د

رَدَدۡنَا
رَدَدْنَا
radadnā
We gave back
ل
![]()
لَكُمُ
لَكُمُ
lakumu
to you
ك-ر-ر
![]()
ٱلۡكَرَّةَ
الْكَرَّةَ
l-karata
the return victory
ع-ل-ي
![]()
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
عَلَیْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
over them.
م-د-د
![]()
وَأَمۡدَدۡنَٰكُم
وَاَمْدَدْنٰكُمْ
wa-amdadnākum
And We reinforced you
م-و-ل
![]()
بِأَمۡوَٰلٖ
بِاَمْوَالٍ
bi-amwālin
with the wealth
ب-ن-و
![]()
وَبَنِينَ
وَّبَنِیْنَ
wabanīna
and sons
ج-ع-ل
![]()
وَجَعَلۡنَٰكُمۡ
وَجَعَلْنٰكُمْ
wajaʿalnākum
and made you
ك-ث-ر
![]()
أَكۡثَرَ
اَكْثَرَ
akthara
more
ن-ف-ر
![]()
نَفِيرًا
نَفِیْرًا
nafīran
numerous.
Then We gave back to you a turn of fortune against them, and We enriched you with property and children, and We made you greater in manpower.

ا-ن

أَحۡسَنتُمۡ
اَحْسَنْتُمْ
aḥsantum
you do good,
ح-س-ن

أَحۡسَنتُمۡ
اَحْسَنْتُمْ
aḥsantum
you do good
ن-ف-س
![]()
لِأَنفُسِكُمۡۖ
لِاَنْفُسِكُمْ ۫—
li-anfusikum
for yourselves;
ا-ن
![]()
وَإِنۡ
وَاِنْ
wa-in
and if
س-و-ا
![]()
أَسَأۡتُمۡ
اَسَاْتُمْ
asatum
you do evil,
ل
![]()
فَلَهَاۚ
فَلَهَا ؕ—
falahā
then it is for it.
ا-ذ-ا
![]()
فَإِذَا
فَاِذَا
fa-idhā
So when
ج-ي-ا
![]()
جَآءَ
جَآءَ
jāa
came
و-ع-د
![]()
وَعۡدُ
وَعْدُ
waʿdu
promise
ا-خ-ر
![]()
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
الْاٰخِرَةِ
l-ākhirati
the last,
س-و-ا
![]()
لِيَسُـُٔواْ
لِیَسُوْٓءٗا
liyasūū
to sadden
و-ج-ه
![]()
وُجُوهَكُمۡ
وُجُوْهَكُمْ
wujūhakum
your faces
د-خ-ل
![]()
وَلِيَدۡخُلُواْ
وَلِیَدْخُلُوا
waliyadkhulū
and to enter
س-ج-د
![]()
ٱلۡمَسۡجِدَ
الْمَسْجِدَ
l-masjida
the Masjid
ك-م-ا
![]()
كَمَا
كَمَا
kamā
just as
د-خ-ل
![]()
دَخَلُوهُ
دَخَلُوْهُ
dakhalūhu
they (had) entered it
ا-و-ل
![]()
أَوَّلَ
اَوَّلَ
awwala
first
م-ر-ر
![]()
مَرَّةٖ
مَرَّةٍ
marratin
time,
ت-ب-ر
![]()
وَلِيُتَبِّرُواْ
وَّلِیُتَبِّرُوْا
waliyutabbirū
and to destroy
م-ا
![]()
مَا
مَا
mā
what
ع-ل-و
![]()
عَلَوۡاْ
عَلَوْا
ʿalaw
they had conquered
ت-ب-ر
![]()
تَتۡبِيرًا
تَتْبِیْرًا
tatbīran
(with) destruction.
If you did good, you did good for yourselves; and if you did wrong, it was to yourselves. And when the latter prediction came about, they were able to discountenance you and enter the temple as they had entered it the first time, and demolish what they took over.

ع-س-ي

عَسَىٰ
عَسٰی
ʿasā
"(It) may be
ر-ب-ب
![]()
رَبُّكُمۡ
رَبُّكُمْ
rabbukum
that your Lord
ا-ن
![]()
أَن
اَنْ
an
that your Lord
ر-ح-م
![]()
يَرۡحَمَكُمۡۚ
یَّرْحَمَكُمْ ۚ—
yarḥamakum
(may) have mercy upon you.
ا-ن
![]()
وَإِنۡ
وَاِنْ
wa-in
But if
ع-و-د
![]()
عُدتُّمۡ
عُدْتُّمْ
ʿudttum
you return,
ع-و-د
![]()
عُدۡنَاۚ
عُدْنَا ۘ—
ʿud'nā
We will return.
ج-ع-ل
![]()
وَجَعَلۡنَا
وَجَعَلْنَا
wajaʿalnā
And We have made
ج-ه-ن-م
![]()
جَهَنَّمَ
جَهَنَّمَ
jahannama
Hell,
ك-ف-ر
![]()
لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
لِلْكٰفِرِیْنَ
lil'kāfirīna
for the disbelievers,
ح-ص-ر
![]()
حَصِيرًا
حَصِیْرًا
ḥaṣīran
a prison-bed."
Your Lord may have mercy on you. But if you are hostile, We will be hostile: And We have made hell a prison for the ungrateful.

Indeed,
ه-ا-ذ

هَٰذَا
هٰذَا
hādhā
this,
ق-ر-ا

ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ
الْقُرْاٰنَ
l-qur'āna
the Quran,
ه-د-ي
![]()
يَهۡدِي
یَهْدِیْ
yahdī
guides
ا-ل-ل-ت
![]()
لِلَّتِي
لِلَّتِیْ
lillatī
to that
ه-ي
![]()
هِيَ
هِیَ
hiya
which
ق-و-م
![]()
أَقۡوَمُ
اَقْوَمُ
aqwamu
(is) most straight
ب-ش-ر
![]()
وَيُبَشِّرُ
وَیُبَشِّرُ
wayubashiru
and gives glad tidings
ا-م-ن
![]()
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ
l-mu'minīna
to the believers -
ا-ل-ل-ذ
![]()
ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
those who
ع-م-ل
![]()
يَعۡمَلُونَ
یَعْمَلُوْنَ
yaʿmalūna
do
ص-ل-ح
![]()
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
الصّٰلِحٰتِ
ṣ-ṣāliḥāti
the righteous deeds,
ا-ن-ن
![]()
أَنَّ
اَنَّ
anna
that
ل
![]()
لَهُمۡ
لَهُمْ
lahum
for them
ا-ج-ر
![]()
أَجۡرٗا
اَجْرًا
ajran
(is) a reward
ك-ب-ر
![]()
كَبِيرٗا
كَبِیْرًا
kabīran
great,
This Recital guides to what is more sound, and gives the good news to the believers who do good deeds that there is a great reward for them,

ا-ن-ن

وَأَنَّ
وَّاَنَّ
wa-anna
And that
ا-ل-ل-ذ

ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
those who
ل-ا

لَا
لَا
lā
(do) not
ا-م-ن
![]()
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
یُؤْمِنُوْنَ
yu'minūna
believe
ا-خ-ر
![]()
بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
بِالْاٰخِرَةِ
bil-ākhirati
in the Hereafter,
ع-ت-د
![]()
أَعۡتَدۡنَا
اَعْتَدْنَا
aʿtadnā
We have prepared
ل
![]()
لَهُمۡ
لَهُمْ
lahum
for them
ع-ذ-ب
![]()
عَذَابًا
عَذَابًا
ʿadhāban
a punishment
ا-ل-م
![]()
أَلِيمٗا
اَلِیْمًا
alīman
painful.
and that for those who do not believe in the hereafter, We have prepared a painful penalty.
