(there is) no
ا-ل-ه

إِلَٰهَ

God
ا-ل-ل-ا
![]()
إِلَّا
اِلَّا
illā
except
ه-و
![]()
هُوَ
هُوَۙ—
huwa
Him,
ح-ي-ي
![]()
ٱلۡحَيُّ
الْحَیُّ
l-ḥayu
the Ever-Living
ق-و-م
![]()
ٱلۡقَيُّومُ
الْقَیُّوْمُ
l-qayūmu
the Sustainer of all that exists.
There is no deity but God, the Living, the Self-Existent.

ن-ز-ل

nazzala
He revealed
ع-ل-ي

عَلَيۡكَ
عَلَیْكَ
ʿalayka
to you
ك-ت-ب

ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
الْكِتٰبَ
l-kitāba
the Book
ح-ق-ق
![]()
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
بِالْحَقِّ
bil-ḥaqi
in [the] truth
ص-د-ق
![]()
مُصَدِّقٗا
مُصَدِّقًا
muṣaddiqan
confirming
ل-م-ا
![]()
لِّمَا
لِّمَا
limā
that which
ب-ي-ن
![]()
بَيۡنَ
بَیْنَ
bayna
(was) before it,
ي-د-ي
![]()
يَدَيۡهِ
یَدَیْهِ
yadayhi
(was) before it,
ن-ز-ل
![]()
وَأَنزَلَ
وَاَنْزَلَ
wa-anzala
and He revealed
ت-و-ر-ا
![]()
ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ
التَّوْرٰىةَ
l-tawrāta
the Taurat
ن-ج-ل
![]()
وَٱلۡإِنجِيلَ
وَالْاِنْجِیْلَ
wal-injīla
and the Injeel,
God revealed the Book to you in truth, verifying what was before it; God revealed the Torah and the Gospel before as guidance for humanity; and God revealed the Criterion.

Before (this),

hudan
(as) guidance
ن-و-س

لِّلنَّاسِ
لِّلنَّاسِ
lilnnāsi
for the mankind.
ن-ز-ل
![]()
وَأَنزَلَ
وَاَنْزَلَ
wa-anzala
And (He) revealed
ف-ر-ق
![]()
ٱلۡفُرۡقَانَۗ
الْفُرْقَانَ ؕ۬—
l-fur'qāna
the Criterion.
ا-ن-ن
![]()
إِنَّ
اِنَّ
inna
Verily,
ا-ل-ل-ذ
![]()
ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
those who
ك-ف-ر
![]()
كَفَرُواْ
كَفَرُوْا
kafarū
disbelieve[d]
ا-ي-ا
![]()
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
بِاٰیٰتِ
biāyāti
in (the) Verses of Allah,
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهِ
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
in (the) Verses of Allah,
ل
![]()
لَهُمۡ
لَهُمْ
lahum
for them
ع-ذ-ب
![]()
عَذَابٞ
عَذَابٌ
ʿadhābun
(is) a punishment
ش-د-د
![]()
شَدِيدٞۗ
شَدِیْدٌ ؕ—
shadīdun
severe.
ا-ل-ه
![]()
وَٱللَّهُ
وَاللّٰهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
ع-ز-ز
![]()
عَزِيزٞ
عَزِیْزٌ
ʿazīzun
(is) All-Mighty,
ذ-و
![]()
ذُو
ذُو
dhū
All-Able of retribution.
ن-ق-م
![]()
ٱنتِقَامٍ
انْتِقَامٍ
intiqāmin
All-Able of retribution.
As for those who repudiate the signs of God there is a severe torment for them; and God is almighty, able to avenge.

yakhfā
is hidden
ع-ل-ي

عَلَيۡهِ
عَلَیْهِ
ʿalayhi
from Him
ش-ي-ا
![]()
شَيۡءٞ
شَیْءٌ
shayon
anything
ف-ي
![]()
فِي
فِی
fī
in
ا-ر-ض
![]()
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
الْاَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
ل-ا
![]()
وَلَا
وَلَا
walā
and not
ف-ي
![]()
فِي
فِی
fī
in
س-م-و
![]()
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
السَّمَآءِ
s-samāi
the heaven.
Indeed, nothing is hidden from God, on earth or in heaven.

ٱلَّذِي

(is) the One Who
ص-و-ر

يُصَوِّرُكُمۡ
یُصَوِّرُكُمْ
yuṣawwirukum
shapes you
ف-ي

فِي
فِی
fī
in
ر-ح-م
![]()
ٱلۡأَرۡحَامِ
الْاَرْحَامِ
l-arḥāmi
the wombs
ك-ي-ف
![]()
كَيۡفَ
كَیْفَ
kayfa
how(ever)
ش-ي-ا
![]()
يَشَآءُۚ
یَشَآءُ ؕ—
yashāu
He wills.
ل-ا
![]()
لَآ
لَاۤ
lā
(There is) no
ا-ل-ه
![]()
إِلَٰهَ
اِلٰهَ
ilāha
god
ا-ل-ل-ا
![]()
إِلَّا
اِلَّا
illā
except
ه-و
![]()
هُوَ
هُوَ
huwa
Him,
ع-ز-ز
![]()
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
الْعَزِیْزُ
l-ʿazīzu
the All-Mighty,
ح-ك-م
![]()
ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
الْحَكِیْمُ
l-ḥakīmu
the All-Wise.
It is God who forms you in the wombs, as God wishes; there is no other god but the One, the Mighty, the Wise.

(is) the One Who

revealed
ع-ل-ي

عَلَيۡكَ
عَلَیْكَ
ʿalayka
to you
ك-ت-ب
![]()
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
الْكِتٰبَ
l-kitāba
the Book,
م-ن
![]()
مِنۡهُ
مِنْهُ
min'hu
of it
ا-ي-ا
![]()
ءَايَٰتٞ
اٰیٰتٌ
āyātun
(are) Verses
ح-ك-م
![]()
مُّحۡكَمَٰتٌ
مُّحْكَمٰتٌ
muḥ'kamātun
absolutely clear -
ه-ن
![]()
هُنَّ
هُنَّ
hunna
they (are)
ا-م-م
![]()
أُمُّ
اُمُّ
ummu
the foundation
ك-ت-ب
![]()
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
الْكِتٰبِ
l-kitābi
(of) the Book,
ا-خ-ر
![]()
وَأُخَرُ
وَاُخَرُ
wa-ukharu
and others
ش-ب-ه
![]()
مُتَشَٰبِهَٰتٞۖ
مُتَشٰبِهٰتٌ ؕ—
mutashābihātun
(are) allegorical.
ا-م-م-ا
![]()
فَأَمَّا
فَاَمَّا
fa-ammā
Then as for
ا-ل-ل-ذ
![]()
ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
those
ف-ي
![]()
فِي
فِیْ
fī
in
ق-ل-ب
![]()
قُلُوبِهِمۡ
قُلُوْبِهِمْ
qulūbihim
their hearts
ز-ي-غ
![]()
زَيۡغٞ
زَیْغٌ
zayghun
(is) perversity -
ت-ب-ع
![]()
فَيَتَّبِعُونَ
فَیَتَّبِعُوْنَ
fayattabiʿūna
[so] they follow
م-ا
![]()
مَا
مَا
mā
what
ش-ب-ه
![]()
تَشَٰبَهَ
تَشَابَهَ
tashābaha
(is) allegorical
م-ن
![]()
مِنۡهُ
مِنْهُ
min'hu
of it,
ب-غ-ي
![]()
ٱبۡتِغَآءَ
ابْتِغَآءَ
ib'tighāa
seeking
ف-ت-ن
![]()
ٱلۡفِتۡنَةِ
الْفِتْنَةِ
l-fit'nati
[the] discord
ب-غ-ي
![]()
وَٱبۡتِغَآءَ
وَابْتِغَآءَ
wa-ib'tighāa
and seeking
ا-و-ل
![]()
تَأۡوِيلِهِۦۖ
تَاْوِیْلِهٖ ؔۚ—
tawīlihi
its interpretation.
م-ا
![]()
وَمَا
وَمَا
wamā
And not
ع-ل-م
![]()
يَعۡلَمُ
یَعْلَمُ
yaʿlamu
knows
ا-و-ل
![]()
تَأۡوِيلَهُۥٓ
تَاْوِیْلَهٗۤ
tawīlahu
its interpretation
ا-ل-ل-ا
![]()
إِلَّا
اِلَّا
illā
except
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهُۗ
اللّٰهُ ؔۘ—
l-lahu
Allah.
ر-س-خ
![]()
وَٱلرَّٰسِخُونَ
وَالرّٰسِخُوْنَ
war-rāsikhūna
And those firm
ف-ي
![]()
فِي
فِی
fī
in
ع-ل-م
![]()
ٱلۡعِلۡمِ
الْعِلْمِ
l-ʿil'mi
[the] knowledge,
ق-و-ل
![]()
يَقُولُونَ
یَقُوْلُوْنَ
yaqūlūna
they say,
ا-م-ن
![]()
ءَامَنَّا
اٰمَنَّا
āmannā
"We believe
ب
![]()
بِهِۦ
بِهٖ ۙ—
bihi
in it.
ك-ل-ل
![]()
كُلّٞ
كُلٌّ
kullun
All
م-ن
![]()
مِّنۡ
مِّنْ
min
(is) from
ع-ن-د
![]()
عِندِ
عِنْدِ
ʿindi
(is) from
ر-ب-ب
![]()
رَبِّنَاۗ
رَبِّنَا ۚ—
rabbinā
our Lord."
م-ا
![]()
وَمَا
وَمَا
wamā
And not
ذ-ك-ر
![]()
يَذَّكَّرُ
یَذَّكَّرُ
yadhakkaru
will take heed
ا-ل-ل-ا
![]()
إِلَّآ
اِلَّاۤ
illā
except
ا-و-ل
![]()
أُوْلُواْ
اُولُوا
ulū
men of understanding.
ل-ب-ب
![]()
ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ
الْاَلْبَابِ
l-albābi
men of understanding.
It is God who has revealed the Book to you, including precise signs, which are the matrix of the Book, and others that are ambiguous. As for those with perversion in their hearts, they follow the ambiguous part, seeking discord, and seeking explanation for it. But no one knows its explanation but God; and those deeply rooted in knowledge say, “We believe in it. It is all from our Lord.” And no one will bear it in mind but those with understanding:

قُلُوبَنَا
قُلُوْبَنَا
qulūbanā
our hearts
ب-ع-د
![]()
بَعۡدَ
بَعْدَ
baʿda
after
ا-ذ
![]()
إِذۡ
اِذْ
idh
[when]
ه-د-ي
![]()
هَدَيۡتَنَا
هَدَیْتَنَا
hadaytanā
You (have) guided us,
و-ه-ب
![]()
وَهَبۡ
وَهَبْ
wahab
and grant
ل
![]()
لَنَا
لَنَا
lanā
(for) us
م-ن
![]()
مِن
مِنْ
min
from
ل-د-ن
![]()
لَّدُنكَ
لَّدُنْكَ
ladunka
Yourself
ر-ح-م
![]()
رَحۡمَةًۚ
رَحْمَةً ۚ—
raḥmatan
mercy.
ا-ن-ن
![]()
إِنَّكَ
اِنَّكَ
innaka
Indeed You,
ا-ن-ت
![]()
أَنتَ
اَنْتَ
anta
You
و-ه-ب
![]()
ٱلۡوَهَّابُ
الْوَهَّابُ
l-wahābu
(are) the Bestower.
Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us. And give us mercy from Yourself; for You are most generous.

Our Lord!
ا-ن-ن

إِنَّكَ
اِنَّكَ
innaka
Indeed, You

جَامِعُ
جَامِعُ
jāmiʿu
will gather
ن-و-س
![]()
ٱلنَّاسِ
النَّاسِ
n-nāsi
[the] mankind
ي-و-م
![]()
لِيَوۡمٖ
لِیَوْمٍ
liyawmin
on a Day,
ل-ا
![]()
لَّا
لَّا
lā
(there is) no
ر-ي-ب
![]()
رَيۡبَ
رَیْبَ
rayba
doubt
ف-ي
![]()
فِيهِۚ
فِیْهِ ؕ—
fīhi
in it.
ا-ن-ن
![]()
إِنَّ
اِنَّ
inna
Indeed,
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهَ
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
ل-ا
![]()
لَا
لَا
lā
(does) not
خ-ل-ف
![]()
يُخۡلِفُ
یُخْلِفُ
yukh'lifu
break
و-ع-د
![]()
ٱلۡمِيعَادَ
الْمِیْعَادَ
l-mīʿāda
the Promise."
Our Lord, You are the one who will gather humankind for a day in which there is no doubt; for God never breaks a promise.

ا-ن-ن

Indeed,
ا-ل-ل-ذ

الَّذِیْنَ

those who

كَفَرُوْا
kafarū
disbelieve[d]
ل-ن

لَن
لَنْ
lan
never
غ-ن-ي
![]()
تُغۡنِيَ
تُغْنِیَ
tugh'niya
will avail
ع-ن
![]()
عَنۡهُمۡ
عَنْهُمْ
ʿanhum
[for] them
م-و-ل
![]()
أَمۡوَٰلُهُمۡ
اَمْوَالُهُمْ
amwāluhum
their wealth
ل-ا
![]()
وَلَآ
وَلَاۤ
walā
and not
و-ل-د
![]()
أَوۡلَٰدُهُم
اَوْلَادُهُمْ
awlāduhum
their children
م-ن
![]()
مِّنَ
مِّنَ
mina
against
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهِ
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
Allah
ش-ي-ا
![]()
شَيۡـٔٗاۖ
شَیْـًٔا ؕ—
shayan
anything,
ا-و-ل-ا
![]()
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
وَاُولٰٓىِٕكَ
wa-ulāika
and those -
ه-م
![]()
هُمۡ
هُمْ
hum
they (are)
و-ق-د
![]()
وَقُودُ
وَقُوْدُ
waqūdu
(the) fuel
ن-و-ر
![]()
ٱلنَّارِ
النَّارِ
n-nāri
(for) the Fire.
As for those who scoff, neither their wealth nor their children will avail them at all against God; and they are fuel for the fire,
