ا-ي-ي
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
یٰۤاَیُّهَا
yāayyuhā
O Prophet!
ن-ب-ا
ٱلنَّبِيُّ
النَّبِیُّ
n-nabiyu
O Prophet!
ل-م
لِمَ
لِمَ
lima
Why (do)
ح-ر-م
تُحَرِّمُ
تُحَرِّمُ
tuḥarrimu
you prohibit
م-ا
مَآ
مَاۤ
mā
what
ح-ل-ل
أَحَلَّ
اَحَلَّ
aḥalla
Allah has made lawful
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهُ
اللّٰهُ
l-lahu
Allah has made lawful
ل
لَكَۖ
لَكَ ۚ—
laka
for you,
ب-غ-ي
تَبۡتَغِي
تَبْتَغِیْ
tabtaghī
seeking
ر-ض-و
مَرۡضَاتَ
مَرْضَاتَ
marḍāta
(to) please
ز-و-ج
أَزۡوَٰجِكَۚ
اَزْوَاجِكَ ؕ—
azwājika
your wives?
ا-ل-ه
وَٱللَّهُ
وَاللّٰهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
غ-ف-ر
غَفُورٞ
غَفُوْرٌ
ghafūrun
(is) Oft-Forgiving,
ر-ح-م
رَّحِيمٞ
رَّحِیْمٌ
raḥīmun
Most Merciful.

(1)
66:2
ق-د
قَدۡ
قَدْ
qad
Indeed,
ف-ر-ض
فَرَضَ
فَرَضَ
faraḍa
Allah has ordained
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهُ
اللّٰهُ
l-lahu
Allah has ordained
ل
لَكُمۡ
لَكُمْ
lakum
for you
ح-ل-ل
تَحِلَّةَ
تَحِلَّةَ
taḥillata
(the) dissolution
ي-م-ن
أَيۡمَٰنِكُمۡۚ
اَیْمَانِكُمْ ۚ—
aymānikum
(of) your oaths.
ا-ل-ه
وَٱللَّهُ
وَاللّٰهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
و-ل-ي
مَوۡلَىٰكُمۡۖ
مَوْلٰىكُمْ ۚ—
mawlākum
(is) your Protector
ه-و
وَهُوَ
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
ع-ل-م
ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
الْعَلِیْمُ
l-ʿalīmu
(is) the All-Knower,
ح-ك-م
ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
الْحَكِیْمُ
l-ḥakīmu
the All-Wise.

(2)
66:3
ا-ذ
وَإِذۡ
وَاِذْ
wa-idh
And when
س-ر-ر
أَسَرَّ
اَسَرَّ
asarra
confided
ن-ب-ا
ٱلنَّبِيُّ
النَّبِیُّ
n-nabiyu
the Prophet
ا-ل-ي
إِلَىٰ
اِلٰی
ilā
to
ب-ع-ض
بَعۡضِ
بَعْضِ
baʿḍi
one
ز-و-ج
أَزۡوَٰجِهِۦ
اَزْوَاجِهٖ
azwājihi
(of) his wives
ح-د-ث
حَدِيثٗا
حَدِیْثًا ۚ—
ḥadīthan
a statement,
ل-م-م-ا
فَلَمَّا
فَلَمَّا
falammā
and when
ن-ب-ا
نَبَّأَتۡ
نَبَّاَتْ
nabba-at
she informed
ب
بِهِۦ
بِهٖ
bihi
about it
ظ-ه-ر
وَأَظۡهَرَهُ
وَاَظْهَرَهُ
wa-aẓharahu
and Allah made it apparent
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهُ
اللّٰهُ
l-lahu
and Allah made it apparent
ع-ل-ي
عَلَيۡهِ
عَلَیْهِ
ʿalayhi
to him,
ع-ر-ف
عَرَّفَ
عَرَّفَ
ʿarrafa
he made known
ب-ع-ض
بَعۡضَهُۥ
بَعْضَهٗ
baʿḍahu
a part of it
ع-ر-ض
وَأَعۡرَضَ
وَاَعْرَضَ
wa-aʿraḍa
and avoided
ع-ن
عَنۢ
عَنْ
ʿan
[of]
ب-ع-ض
بَعۡضٖۖ
بَعْضٍ ۚ—
baʿḍin
a part.
ل-م-م-ا
فَلَمَّا
فَلَمَّا
falammā
Then when
ن-ب-ا
نَبَّأَهَا
نَبَّاَهَا
nabba-ahā
he informed her
ب
بِهِۦ
بِهٖ
bihi
about it,
ق-و-ل
قَالَتۡ
قَالَتْ
qālat
she said,
م-ن
مَنۡ
مَنْ
man
"Who
ن-ب-ا
أَنۢبَأَكَ
اَنْۢبَاَكَ
anba-aka
informed you
ه-ا-ذ
هَٰذَاۖ
هٰذَا ؕ—
hādhā
this?"
ق-و-ل
قَالَ
قَالَ
qāla
He said,
ن-ب-ا
نَبَّأَنِيَ
نَبَّاَنِیَ
nabba-aniya
"Has informed me
ع-ل-م
ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
الْعَلِیْمُ
l-ʿalīmu
the All-Knower,
خ-ب-ر
ٱلۡخَبِيرُ
الْخَبِیْرُ
l-khabīru
the All-Aware."

۟
(3)
66:4
ا-ن
إِن
اِنْ
in
If
ت-و-ب
تَتُوبَآ
تَتُوْبَاۤ
tatūbā
you both turn
ا-ل-ي
إِلَى
اِلَی
ilā
to
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهِ
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
Allah,
ق-د
فَقَدۡ
فَقَدْ
faqad
so indeed,
ص-غ-ي
صَغَتۡ
صَغَتْ
ṣaghat
(are) inclined
ق-ل-ب
قُلُوبُكُمَاۖ
قُلُوْبُكُمَا ۚ—
qulūbukumā
your hearts;
ا-ن
وَإِن
وَاِنْ
wa-in
but if
ظ-ه-ر
تَظَٰهَرَا
تَظٰهَرَا
taẓāharā
you backup each other
ع-ل-ي
عَلَيۡهِ
عَلَیْهِ
ʿalayhi
against him,
ا-ن-ن
فَإِنَّ
فَاِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed,
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهَ
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah,
ه-و
هُوَ
هُوَ
huwa
He
و-ل-ي
مَوۡلَىٰهُ
مَوْلٰىهُ
mawlāhu
(is) his Protector,
ج-ب-ر
وَجِبۡرِيلُ
وَجِبْرِیْلُ
wajib'rīlu
and Jibreel,
ص-ل-ح
وَصَٰلِحُ
وَصَالِحُ
waṣāliḥu
and (the) righteous
ا-م-ن
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَۖ
الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ ۚ—
l-mu'minīna
believers,
م-ل-ك
وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
وَالْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةُ
wal-malāikatu
and the Angels,
ب-ع-د
بَعۡدَ
بَعْدَ
baʿda
after
ذ-ل-ك
ذَٰلِكَ
ذٰلِكَ
dhālika
that
ظ-ه-ر
ظَهِيرٌ
ظَهِیْرٌ
ẓahīrun
(are his) assistants.
٤
۟
(4)
66:5
ع-س-ي
عَسَىٰ
عَسٰی
ʿasā
Perhaps
ر-ب-ب
رَبُّهُۥٓ
رَبُّهٗۤ
rabbuhu
his Lord,
ا-ن
إِن
اِنْ
in
if
ط-ل-ق
طَلَّقَكُنَّ
طَلَّقَكُنَّ
ṭallaqakunna
he divorced you,
ا-ن
أَن
اَنْ
an
[that]
ب-د-ل
يُبۡدِلَهُۥٓ
یُّبْدِلَهٗۤ
yub'dilahu
He will substitute for him
ز-و-ج
أَزۡوَٰجًا
اَزْوَاجًا
azwājan
wives
خ-ي-ر
خَيۡرٗا
خَیْرًا
khayran
better
م-ن
مِّنكُنَّ
مِّنْكُنَّ
minkunna
than you
س-ل-م
مُسۡلِمَٰتٖ
مُسْلِمٰتٍ
mus'limātin
submissive,
ا-م-ن
مُّؤۡمِنَٰتٖ
مُّؤْمِنٰتٍ
mu'minātin
faithful,
ق-ن-ت
قَٰنِتَٰتٖ
قٰنِتٰتٍ
qānitātin
obedient,
ت-و-ب
تَٰٓئِبَٰتٍ
تٰٓىِٕبٰتٍ
tāibātin
repentant,
ع-ب-د
عَٰبِدَٰتٖ
عٰبِدٰتٍ
ʿābidātin
who worship,
س-ي-ح
سَٰٓئِحَٰتٖ
سٰٓىِٕحٰتٍ
sāiḥātin
who fast,
ث-ي-ب
ثَيِّبَٰتٖ
ثَیِّبٰتٍ
thayyibātin
previously married
ب-ك-ر
وَأَبۡكَارٗا
وَّاَبْكَارًا
wa-abkāran
and virgins.
٥
۟
(5)
66:6
ا-ي-ي
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
یٰۤاَیُّهَا
yāayyuhā
O you who believe!
ا-ل-ل-ذ
ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
O you who believe!
ا-م-ن
ءَامَنُواْ
اٰمَنُوْا
āmanū
O you who believe!
و-ق-ي
قُوٓاْ
قُوْۤا
qū
Protect
ن-ف-س
أَنفُسَكُمۡ
اَنْفُسَكُمْ
anfusakum
yourselves
ا-ه-ل
وَأَهۡلِيكُمۡ
وَاَهْلِیْكُمْ
wa-ahlīkum
and your families
ن-و-ر
نَارٗا
نَارًا
nāran
(from) a Fire
و-ق-د
وَقُودُهَا
وَّقُوْدُهَا
waqūduhā
whose fuel
ن-و-س
ٱلنَّاسُ
النَّاسُ
n-nāsu
(is) people
ح-ج-ر
وَٱلۡحِجَارَةُ
وَالْحِجَارَةُ
wal-ḥijāratu
and stones,
ع-ل-ي
عَلَيۡهَا
عَلَیْهَا
ʿalayhā
over it
م-ل-ك
مَلَٰٓئِكَةٌ
مَلٰٓىِٕكَةٌ
malāikatun
(are) Angels
غ-ل-ظ
غِلَاظٞ
غِلَاظٌ
ghilāẓun
stern,
ش-د-د
شِدَادٞ
شِدَادٌ
shidādun
severe;
ل-ا
لَّا
لَّا
lā
not
ع-ص-ي
يَعۡصُونَ
یَعْصُوْنَ
yaʿṣūna
they disobey
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهَ
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
م-ا
مَآ
مَاۤ
mā
(in) what
ا-م-ر
أَمَرَهُمۡ
اَمَرَهُمْ
amarahum
He Commands them
ف-ع-ل
وَيَفۡعَلُونَ
وَیَفْعَلُوْنَ
wayafʿalūna
but they do
م-ا
مَا
مَا
mā
what
ا-م-ر
يُؤۡمَرُونَ
یُؤْمَرُوْنَ
yu'marūna
they are commanded.
٦
۟
(6)
66:7
ا-ي-ي
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
یٰۤاَیُّهَا
yāayyuhā
"O you who disbelieve!
ا-ل-ل-ذ
ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
"O you who disbelieve!
ك-ف-ر
كَفَرُواْ
كَفَرُوْا
kafarū
"O you who disbelieve!
ل-ا
لَا
لَا
lā
(Do) not
ع-ذ-ر
تَعۡتَذِرُواْ
تَعْتَذِرُوا
taʿtadhirū
make excuses
ي-و-م
ٱلۡيَوۡمَۖ
الْیَوْمَ ؕ—
l-yawma
today.
ا-ن-ن-م
إِنَّمَا
اِنَّمَا
innamā
Only
ج-ز-ي
تُجۡزَوۡنَ
تُجْزَوْنَ
tuj'zawna
you will be recompensed
م-ا
مَا
مَا
mā
(for) what
ك-و-ن
كُنتُمۡ
كُنْتُمْ
kuntum
you used to
ع-م-ل
تَعۡمَلُونَ
تَعْمَلُوْنَ
taʿmalūna
do."
٧
۟۠
(7)
66:8
ا-ي-ي
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
یٰۤاَیُّهَا
yāayyuhā
O you who believe!
ا-ل-ل-ذ
ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
O you who believe!
ا-م-ن
ءَامَنُواْ
اٰمَنُوْا
āmanū
O you who believe!
ت-و-ب
تُوبُوٓاْ
تُوْبُوْۤا
tūbū
Turn
ا-ل-ي
إِلَى
اِلَی
ilā
to
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهِ
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
Allah
ت-و-ب
تَوۡبَةٗ
تَوْبَةً
tawbatan
(in) repentance
ن-ص-ح
نَّصُوحًا
نَّصُوْحًا ؕ—
naṣūḥan
sincere!
ع-س-ي
عَسَىٰ
عَسٰی
ʿasā
Perhaps
ر-ب-ب
رَبُّكُمۡ
رَبُّكُمْ
rabbukum
your Lord
ا-ن
أَن
اَنْ
an
[that]
ك-ف-ر
يُكَفِّرَ
یُّكَفِّرَ
yukaffira
will remove
ع-ن
عَنكُمۡ
عَنْكُمْ
ʿankum
from you
س-و-ا
سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمۡ
سَیِّاٰتِكُمْ
sayyiātikum
your evil deeds
د-خ-ل
وَيُدۡخِلَكُمۡ
وَیُدْخِلَكُمْ
wayud'khilakum
and admit you
ج-ن-ن
جَنَّٰتٖ
جَنّٰتٍ
jannātin
(into) Gardens
ج-ر-ي
تَجۡرِي
تَجْرِیْ
tajrī
flow
م-ن
مِن
مِنْ
min
from
ت-ح-ت
تَحۡتِهَا
تَحْتِهَا
taḥtihā
underneath it
ن-ه-ر
ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ
الْاَنْهٰرُ ۙ—
l-anhāru
the rivers,
ي-و-م
يَوۡمَ
یَوْمَ
yawma
(on the) Day
ل-ا
لَا
لَا
lā
not
خ-ز-ي
يُخۡزِي
یُخْزِی
yukh'zī
Allah will disgrace
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهُ
اللّٰهُ
l-lahu
Allah will disgrace
ن-ب-ا
ٱلنَّبِيَّ
النَّبِیَّ
n-nabiya
the Prophet
ا-ل-ل-ذ
وَٱلَّذِينَ
وَالَّذِیْنَ
wa-alladhīna
and those who
ا-م-ن
ءَامَنُواْ
اٰمَنُوْا
āmanū
believed
م-ع
مَعَهُۥۖ
مَعَهٗ ۚ—
maʿahu
with him.
ن-و-ر
نُورُهُمۡ
نُوْرُهُمْ
nūruhum
Their light
س-ع-ي
يَسۡعَىٰ
یَسْعٰی
yasʿā
will run
ب-ي-ن
بَيۡنَ
بَیْنَ
bayna
before them
ي-د-ي
أَيۡدِيهِمۡ
اَیْدِیْهِمْ
aydīhim
before them
ي-م-ن
وَبِأَيۡمَٰنِهِمۡ
وَبِاَیْمَانِهِمْ
wabi-aymānihim
and on their right;
ق-و-ل
يَقُولُونَ
یَقُوْلُوْنَ
yaqūlūna
they will say,
ر-ب-ب
رَبَّنَآ
رَبَّنَاۤ
rabbanā
"Our Lord
ت-م-م
أَتۡمِمۡ
اَتْمِمْ
atmim
Perfect
ل
لَنَا
لَنَا
lanā
for us
ن-و-ر
نُورَنَا
نُوْرَنَا
nūranā
our light
غ-ف-ر
وَٱغۡفِرۡ
وَاغْفِرْ
wa-igh'fir
and grant forgiveness
ل
لَنَآۖ
لَنَا ۚ—
lanā
to us.
ا-ن-ن
إِنَّكَ
اِنَّكَ
innaka
Indeed, You
ع-ل-ي
عَلَىٰ
عَلٰی
ʿalā
(are) over
ك-ل-ل
كُلِّ
كُلِّ
kulli
every
ش-ي-ا
شَيۡءٖ
شَیْءٍ
shayin
thing
ق-د-ر
قَدِيرٞ
قَدِیْرٌ
qadīrun
All-Powerful."
٨
۟
(8)
66:9
ا-ي-ي
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
یٰۤاَیُّهَا
yāayyuhā
O Prophet!
ن-ب-ا
ٱلنَّبِيُّ
النَّبِیُّ
n-nabiyu
O Prophet!
ج-ه-د
جَٰهِدِ
جَاهِدِ
jāhidi
Strive
ك-ف-ر
ٱلۡكُفَّارَ
الْكُفَّارَ
l-kufāra
(against) the disbelievers
ن-ف-ق
وَٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ
وَالْمُنٰفِقِیْنَ
wal-munāfiqīna
and the hypocrites,
غ-ل-ظ
وَٱغۡلُظۡ
وَاغْلُظْ
wa-ugh'luẓ
and be stern
ع-ل-ي
عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ
عَلَیْهِمْ ؕ—
ʿalayhim
with them.
ا-و-ي
وَمَأۡوَىٰهُمۡ
وَمَاْوٰىهُمْ
wamawāhum
And their abode
ج-ه-ن-م
جَهَنَّمُۖ
جَهَنَّمُ ؕ—
jahannamu
(is) Hell,
ب-ا-س
وَبِئۡسَ
وَبِئْسَ
wabi'sa
and wretched is
ص-ي-ر
ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
الْمَصِیْرُ
l-maṣīru
the destination.
٩
۟
(9)
66:11
ض-ر-ب
وَضَرَبَ
وَضَرَبَ
waḍaraba
And Allah presents
ا-ل-ه
ٱللَّهُ
اللّٰهُ
l-lahu
And Allah presents
م-ث-ل
مَثَلٗا
مَثَلًا
mathalan
an example
ا-ل-ل-ذ
لِّلَّذِينَ
لِّلَّذِیْنَ
lilladhīna
for those who
ا-م-ن
ءَامَنُواْ
اٰمَنُوا
āmanū
believed -
م-ر-ا
ٱمۡرَأَتَ
امْرَاَتَ
im'ra-ata
(the) wife
ف-ر-ع
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
فِرْعَوْنَ ۘ—
fir'ʿawna
(of) Firaun,
ا-ذ
إِذۡ
اِذْ
idh
when
ق-و-ل
قَالَتۡ
قَالَتْ
qālat
she said,
ر-ب-ب
رَبِّ
رَبِّ
rabbi
"My Lord!
ب-ن-ا
ٱبۡنِ
ابْنِ
ib'ni
Build
ل
لِي
لِیْ
lī
for me
ع-ن-د
عِندَكَ
عِنْدَكَ
ʿindaka
near You
ب-ي-ت
بَيۡتٗا
بَیْتًا
baytan
a house
ف-ي
فِي
فِی
fī
in
ج-ن-ن
ٱلۡجَنَّةِ
الْجَنَّةِ
l-janati
Paradise,
ن-ج-و
وَنَجِّنِي
وَنَجِّنِیْ
wanajjinī
and save me
م-ن
مِن
مِنْ
min
from
ف-ر-ع
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
فِرْعَوْنَ
fir'ʿawna
Firaun
ع-م-ل
وَعَمَلِهِۦ
وَعَمَلِهٖ
waʿamalihi
and his deeds
ن-ج-و
وَنَجِّنِي
وَنَجِّنِیْ
wanajjinī
and save me
م-ن
مِنَ
مِنَ
mina
from
ق-و-م
ٱلۡقَوۡمِ
الْقَوْمِ
l-qawmi
the people
ظ-ل-م
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
الظّٰلِمِیْنَ
ẓ-ẓālimīna
the wrongdoers."
١١
۟ۙ
(11)
