37:1
ص-ف-ف

وَٱلصَّٰٓفَّٰتِ
وَالصّٰٓفّٰتِ
waṣ-ṣāfāti
By those lined
ص-ف-ف
![]()
صَفّٗا
صَفًّا
ṣaffan
(in) rows,
By those who stand together, side by side,

ز-ج-ر
![]()
فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِ
فَالزّٰجِرٰتِ
faz-zājirāti
And those who drive
ز-ج-ر
![]()
زَجۡرٗا
زَجْرًا
zajran
strongly,
and so are forbidding defenders,

ت-ل-و
![]()
فَٱلتَّٰلِيَٰتِ
فَالتّٰلِیٰتِ
fal-tāliyāti
And those who
ذ-ك-ر
![]()
ذِكۡرًا
ذِكْرًا
dhik'ran
(the) Message,
and who recited revelation,

ا-ن-ن

إِنَّ
اِنَّ
inna
Indeed,
ا-ل-ه
![]()
إِلَٰهَكُمۡ
اِلٰهَكُمْ
ilāhakum
your Lord
و-ح-د
![]()
لَوَٰحِدٞ
لَوَاحِدٌ
lawāḥidun
(is) surely One,
your God is actually One,

ر-ب-ب

رَّبُّ
رَبُّ
rabbu
Lord
س-م-و
![]()
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
السَّمٰوٰتِ
s-samāwāti
(of) the heavens
ا-ر-ض
![]()
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
وَالْاَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth,
م-ا
![]()
وَمَا
وَمَا
wamā
and what
ب-ي-ن
![]()
بَيۡنَهُمَا
بَیْنَهُمَا
baynahumā
(is) between both of them
ر-ب-ب
![]()
وَرَبُّ
وَرَبُّ
warabbu
and Lord
ش-ر-ق
![]()
ٱلۡمَشَٰرِقِ
الْمَشَارِقِ
l-mashāriqi
(of) each point of sunrise.
Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything in between, and Lord of all points of the sunrise.

ا-ن-ن

إِنَّا
اِنَّا
innā
Indeed, We
ز-ي-ن
![]()
زَيَّنَّا
زَیَّنَّا
zayyannā
[We] adorned
س-م-و
![]()
ٱلسَّمَآءَ
السَّمَآءَ
s-samāa
the sky
د-ن-و
![]()
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
الدُّنْیَا
d-dun'yā
[the world]
ز-ي-ن
![]()
بِزِينَةٍ
بِزِیْنَةِ
bizīnatin
with an adornment
ك-و-ك-ب
![]()
ٱلۡكَوَاكِبِ
١لْكَوَاكِبِ
l-kawākibi
(of) the stars.
We have adorned the sky of the world with the ornament of the stars,

ح-ف-ظ

وَحِفۡظٗا
وَحِفْظًا
waḥif'ẓan
And (to) guard
م-ن
![]()
مِّن
مِّنْ
min
against
ك-ل-ل
![]()
كُلِّ
كُلِّ
kulli
every
ش-ط-ن
![]()
شَيۡطَٰنٖ
شَیْطٰنٍ
shayṭānin
devil
م-ر-د
![]()
مَّارِدٖ
مَّارِدٍ
māridin
rebellious,
and to guard against every rebellious devil,

lā
Not
س-م-ع
![]()
يَسَّمَّعُونَ
یَسَّمَّعُوْنَ
yassammaʿūna
they may listen
ا-ل-ي
![]()
إِلَى
اِلَی
ilā
to
م-ل-ا
![]()
ٱلۡمَلَإِ
الْمَلَاِ
l-mala-i
the assembly
ع-ل-و
![]()
ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ
الْاَعْلٰی
l-aʿlā
[the] exalted,
ق-ذ-ف
![]()
وَيُقۡذَفُونَ
وَیُقْذَفُوْنَ
wayuq'dhafūna
are pelted
م-ن
![]()
مِن
مِنْ
min
from
ك-ل-ل
![]()
كُلِّ
كُلِّ
kulli
every
ج-ن-ب
![]()
جَانِبٖ
جَانِبٍ
jānibin
side,
so they cannot eavesdrop on the supreme council, but will be ousted from every side,

دُحُورٗاۖ
دُحُوْرًا
duḥūran
Repelled;
ل
![]()
وَلَهُمۡ
وَّلَهُمْ
walahum
and for them
ع-ذ-ب
![]()
عَذَابٞ
عَذَابٌ
ʿadhābun
(is) a punishment
و-ص-ب
![]()
وَاصِبٌ
وَّاصِبٌ
wāṣibun
perpetual,
repelled and consigned to lasting torment;

إِلَّا
اِلَّا
illā
Except
م-ن

مَنۡ
مَنْ
man
(him) who
خ-ط-ف

خَطِفَ
خَطِفَ
khaṭifa
snatches
خ-ط-ف
![]()
ٱلۡخَطۡفَةَ
الْخَطْفَةَ
l-khaṭfata
(by) theft
ت-ب-ع
![]()
فَأَتۡبَعَهُۥ
فَاَتْبَعَهٗ
fa-atbaʿahu
but follows him
ش-ه-ب
![]()
شِهَابٞ
شِهَابٌ
shihābun
a burning flame,
ث-ق-ب
![]()
ثَاقِبٞ
ثَاقِبٌ
thāqibun
piercing.
except one grabbing a snatch— then a piercing fire pursues him.
