ا-ل-ل-ذ

ٱلَّذِينَ
اَلَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
Those who
ك-ف-ر
![]()
كَفَرُواْ
كَفَرُوْا
kafarū
disbelieve
ص-د-د
![]()
وَصَدُّواْ
وَصَدُّوْا
waṣaddū
and turn away
ع-ن
![]()
عَن
عَنْ
ʿan
from
س-ب-ل
![]()
سَبِيلِ
سَبِیْلِ
sabīli
(the) way of Allah,
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهِ
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
(the) way of Allah,
ض-ل-ل
![]()
أَضَلَّ
اَضَلَّ
aḍalla
He will cause to be lost
ع-م-ل
![]()
أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ
اَعْمَالَهُمْ
aʿmālahum
their deeds.
Those who reject the way of God and also block others from it, God lets their works be lost:

ا-ل-ل-ذ

وَٱلَّذِينَ
وَالَّذِیْنَ
wa-alladhīna
And those who
ا-م-ن
![]()
ءَامَنُواْ
اٰمَنُوْا
āmanū
believe
ع-م-ل
![]()
وَعَمِلُواْ
وَعَمِلُوا
waʿamilū
and do
ص-ل-ح
![]()
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
الصّٰلِحٰتِ
ṣ-ṣāliḥāti
righteous deeds,
ا-م-ن
![]()
وَءَامَنُواْ
وَاٰمَنُوْا
waāmanū
and believe
ب-م-ا
![]()
بِمَا
بِمَا
bimā
in what
ن-ز-ل
![]()
نُزِّلَ
نُزِّلَ
nuzzila
is revealed
ع-ل-ي
![]()
عَلَىٰ
عَلٰی
ʿalā
to
ح-م-د
![]()
مُحَمَّدٖ
مُحَمَّدٍ
muḥammadin
Muhammad,
ه-و
![]()
وَهُوَ
وَّهُوَ
wahuwa
and it
ح-ق-ق
![]()
ٱلۡحَقُّ
الْحَقُّ
l-ḥaqu
(is) the truth
م-ن
![]()
مِن
مِنْ
min
from
ر-ب-ب
![]()
رَّبِّهِمۡ
رَّبِّهِمْ ۙ—
rabbihim
their Lord,
ك-ف-ر
![]()
كَفَّرَ
كَفَّرَ
kaffara
He will remove
ع-ن
![]()
عَنۡهُمۡ
عَنْهُمْ
ʿanhum
from them
س-و-ا
![]()
سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡ
سَیِّاٰتِهِمْ
sayyiātihim
their misdeeds,
ص-ل-ح
![]()
وَأَصۡلَحَ
وَاَصْلَحَ
wa-aṣlaḥa
and improve
ب-و-ل
![]()
بَالَهُمۡ
بَالَهُمْ
bālahum
their condition.
while those who believe and do good works, believing in what was sent down to Muhammad —as it is the truth from their Lord—God will remove their evils from them and will make them whole.

ذ-ل-ك

ذَٰلِكَ
ذٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
ا-ن-ن
![]()
بِأَنَّ
بِاَنَّ
bi-anna
(is) because
ا-ل-ل-ذ
![]()
ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
those who
ك-ف-ر
![]()
كَفَرُواْ
كَفَرُوا
kafarū
disbelieve
ت-ب-ع
![]()
ٱتَّبَعُواْ
اتَّبَعُوا
ittabaʿū
follow
ب-ط-ل
![]()
ٱلۡبَٰطِلَ
الْبَاطِلَ
l-bāṭila
falsehood
ا-ن-ن
![]()
وَأَنَّ
وَاَنَّ
wa-anna
and that
ا-ل-ل-ذ
![]()
ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
those who
ا-م-ن
![]()
ءَامَنُواْ
اٰمَنُوا
āmanū
believe
ت-ب-ع
![]()
ٱتَّبَعُواْ
اتَّبَعُوا
ittabaʿū
follow
ح-ق-ق
![]()
ٱلۡحَقَّ
الْحَقَّ
l-ḥaqa
(the) truth
م-ن
![]()
مِن
مِنْ
min
from
ر-ب-ب
![]()
رَّبِّهِمۡۚ
رَّبِّهِمْ ؕ—
rabbihim
their Lord.
ذ-ل-ك
![]()
كَذَٰلِكَ
كَذٰلِكَ
kadhālika
Thus
ض-ر-ب
![]()
يَضۡرِبُ
یَضْرِبُ
yaḍribu
Allah presents
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهُ
اللّٰهُ
l-lahu
Allah presents
ن-و-س
![]()
لِلنَّاسِ
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnāsi
to the people
م-ث-ل
![]()
أَمۡثَٰلَهُمۡ
اَمْثَالَهُمْ
amthālahum
their similitudes.
That is because those who scoff follow falsehood, while those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does God give people their models.

ا-ذ-ا

فَإِذَا
فَاِذَا
fa-idhā
So when
ل-ق-ي

لَقِيتُمُ
لَقِیْتُمُ
laqītumu
you meet
ا-ل-ل-ذ
![]()
ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
those who
ك-ف-ر
![]()
كَفَرُواْ
كَفَرُوْا
kafarū
disbelieve,
ض-ر-ب
![]()
فَضَرۡبَ
فَضَرْبَ
faḍarba
then strike
ر-ق-ب
![]()
ٱلرِّقَابِ
الرِّقَابِ ؕ—
r-riqābi
the necks
ح-ت-ت-ي
![]()
حَتَّىٰٓ
حَتّٰۤی
ḥattā
until
ا-ذ-ا
![]()
إِذَآ
اِذَاۤ
idhā
when
ث-خ-ن
![]()
أَثۡخَنتُمُوهُمۡ
اَثْخَنْتُمُوْهُمْ
athkhantumūhum
you have subdued
ش-د-د
![]()
فَشُدُّواْ
فَشُدُّوا
fashuddū
then bind firmly
و-ث-ق
![]()
ٱلۡوَثَاقَ
الْوَثَاقَ ۙۗ—
l-wathāqa
the bond,
ا-م-م-ا
![]()
فَإِمَّا
فَاِمَّا
fa-immā
then either
م-ن-ن
![]()
مَنَّۢا
مَنًّا
mannan
a favor
ب-ع-د
![]()
بَعۡدُ
بَعْدُ
baʿdu
afterwards
ا-م-م-ا
![]()
وَإِمَّا
وَاِمَّا
wa-immā
or
ف-د-ي
![]()
فِدَآءً
فِدَآءً
fidāan
ransom
ح-ت-ت-ي
![]()
حَتَّىٰ
حَتّٰی
ḥattā
until
و-ض-ع
![]()
تَضَعَ
تَضَعَ
taḍaʿa
lays down
ح-ر-ب
![]()
ٱلۡحَرۡبُ
الْحَرْبُ
l-ḥarbu
the war
و-ز-ر
![]()
أَوۡزَارَهَاۚ
اَوْزَارَهَا
awzārahā
its burdens.
ذ-ل-ك
![]()
ذَٰلِكَۖ
ذٰؔلِكَ ۛؕ—
dhālika
That.
ل-و
![]()
وَلَوۡ
وَلَوْ
walaw
And if
ش-ي-ا
![]()
يَشَآءُ
یَشَآءُ
yashāu
Allah had willed
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهُ
اللّٰهُ
l-lahu
Allah had willed
ن-ص-ر
![]()
لَٱنتَصَرَ
لَانْتَصَرَ
la-intaṣara
surely, He could have taken retribution
م-ن
![]()
مِنۡهُمۡ
مِنْهُمْ ۙ—
min'hum
from them,
ل-ك-ن
![]()
وَلَٰكِن
وَلٰكِنْ
walākin
but
ب-ل-و
![]()
لِّيَبۡلُوَاْ
لِّیَبْلُوَاۡ
liyabluwā
to test
ب-ع-ض
![]()
بَعۡضَكُم
بَعْضَكُمْ
baʿḍakum
some of you
ب-ع-ض
![]()
بِبَعۡضٖۗ
بِبَعْضٍ ؕ—
bibaʿḍin
with others.
ا-ل-ل-ذ
![]()
وَٱلَّذِينَ
وَالَّذِیْنَ
wa-alladhīna
And those who
ق-ت-ل
![]()
قُتِلُواْ
قُتِلُوْا
qutilū
are killed
ف-ي
![]()
فِي
فِیْ
fī
in
س-ب-ل
![]()
سَبِيلِ
سَبِیْلِ
sabīli
(the) way of Allah,
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهِ
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
(the) way of Allah,
ل-ن
![]()
فَلَن
فَلَنْ
falan
then never
ض-ل-ل
![]()
يُضِلَّ
یُّضِلَّ
yuḍilla
He will cause to be lost
ع-م-ل
![]()
أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ
اَعْمَالَهُمْ
aʿmālahum
their deeds.
So when you suffer confrontation with those who scoff, let the blow be at the neck: then when you have thrashed them soundly, then make the shackle strong; then [free them] afterward, whether for largess or for ransom, so that war may put down its burdens. So it is. If God wishes, God will surely take revenge on them, and yet intentionally tests some of you by others. And those who are killed in the cause of God, God will not let their acts have been in vain.

ه-د-ي

سَيَهۡدِيهِمۡ
سَیَهْدِیْهِمْ
sayahdīhim
He will guide them
ص-ل-ح
![]()
وَيُصۡلِحُ
وَیُصْلِحُ
wayuṣ'liḥu
and improve
ب-و-ل
![]()
بَالَهُمۡ
بَالَهُمْ
bālahum
their condition,
God will guide them and make their hearts whole,

د-خ-ل

وَيُدۡخِلُهُمُ
وَیُدْخِلُهُمُ
wayud'khiluhumu
And admit them
ج-ن-ن
![]()
ٱلۡجَنَّةَ
الْجَنَّةَ
l-janata
(to) Paradise,
ع-ر-ف
![]()
عَرَّفَهَا
عَرَّفَهَا
ʿarrafahā
He has made it known
ل
![]()
لَهُمۡ
لَهُمْ
lahum
to them.
and admit them to the garden God has announced for them.

ا-ي-ي

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
یٰۤاَیُّهَا
yāayyuhā
O you who believe!
ا-ل-ل-ذ
![]()
ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
O you who believe!
ا-م-ن
![]()
ءَامَنُوٓاْ
اٰمَنُوْۤا
āmanū
O you who believe!
ا-ن
![]()
إِن
اِنْ
in
If
ن-ص-ر
![]()
تَنصُرُواْ
تَنْصُرُوا
tanṣurū
you help
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهَ
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah,
ن-ص-ر
![]()
يَنصُرۡكُمۡ
یَنْصُرْكُمْ
yanṣur'kum
He will help you
ث-ب-ت
![]()
وَيُثَبِّتۡ
وَیُثَبِّتْ
wayuthabbit
and make firm
ق-د-م
![]()
أَقۡدَامَكُمۡ
اَقْدَامَكُمْ
aqdāmakum
your feet.
Believers, if you help God, God will help you, making your steps steady.

ا-ل-ل-ذ

وَٱلَّذِينَ
وَالَّذِیْنَ
wa-alladhīna
But those who
ك-ف-ر
![]()
كَفَرُواْ
كَفَرُوْا
kafarū
disbelieve,
ت-ع-س
![]()
فَتَعۡسٗا
فَتَعْسًا
fataʿsan
destruction (is)
ل
![]()
لَّهُمۡ
لَّهُمْ
lahum
for them,
ض-ل-ل
![]()
وَأَضَلَّ
وَاَضَلَّ
wa-aḍalla
and He will cause to be lost
ع-م-ل
![]()
أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ
اَعْمَالَهُمْ
aʿmālahum
their deeds.
As for those who scoff, there is misery for them, and God will let their works be lost.

ذ-ل-ك

ذَٰلِكَ
ذٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
ا-ن-ن
![]()
بِأَنَّهُمۡ
بِاَنَّهُمْ
bi-annahum
(is) because they
ك-ر-ه
![]()
كَرِهُواْ
كَرِهُوْا
karihū
hate
م-ا
![]()
مَآ
مَاۤ
mā
what
ن-ز-ل
![]()
أَنزَلَ
اَنْزَلَ
anzala
Allah has revealed,
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهُ
اللّٰهُ
l-lahu
Allah has revealed,
ح-ب-ط
![]()
فَأَحۡبَطَ
فَاَحْبَطَ
fa-aḥbaṭa
so He has made worthless
ع-م-ل
![]()
أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ
اَعْمَالَهُمْ
aʿmālahum
their deeds.
That is because they hate what God has revealed, so God makes their works fruitless.

۞أَفَلَمۡ
اَفَلَمْ
afalam
Do not
س-ي-ر
![]()
يَسِيرُواْ
یَسِیْرُوْا
yasīrū
they travel
ف-ي
![]()
فِي
فِی
fī
in
ا-ر-ض
![]()
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
الْاَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
ن-ظ-ر
![]()
فَيَنظُرُواْ
فَیَنْظُرُوْا
fayanẓurū
and see
ك-ي-ف
![]()
كَيۡفَ
كَیْفَ
kayfa
how
ك-و-ن
![]()
كَانَ
كَانَ
kāna
was
ع-ق-ب
![]()
عَٰقِبَةُ
عَاقِبَةُ
ʿāqibatu
(the) end
ا-ل-ل-ذ
![]()
ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
(of) those
م-ن
![]()
مِن
مِنْ
min
before them?
ق-ب-ل
![]()
قَبۡلِهِمۡۖ
قَبْلِهِمْ ؕ—
qablihim
before them?
د-م-ر
![]()
دَمَّرَ
دَمَّرَ
dammara
Allah destroyed
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهُ
اللّٰهُ
l-lahu
Allah destroyed
ع-ل-ي
![]()
عَلَيۡهِمۡۖ
عَلَیْهِمْ ؗ—
ʿalayhim
[over] them,
ك-ف-ر
![]()
وَلِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
وَلِلْكٰفِرِیْنَ
walil'kāfirīna
and for the disbelievers
م-ث-ل
![]()
أَمۡثَٰلُهَا
اَمْثَالُهَا
amthāluhā
its likeness.
Haven’t they traveled the earth and seen how those before them ended up? God destroyed them; and the same will happen to the atheists.
