      18:1
      ح-م-د
      ٱلۡحَمۡدُ اَلْحَمْدُ al-ḥamdu All Praise
      ا-ل-ه
      لِلَّهِ لِلّٰهِ lillahi (is) for Allah
      ا-ل-ل-ذ
      ٱلَّذِيٓ الَّذِیْۤ alladhī the One Who
      ن-ز-ل
      أَنزَلَ اَنْزَلَ anzala (has) revealed
      ع-ل-ي
      عَلَىٰ عَلٰی ʿalā to
      ع-ب-د
      عَبۡدِهِ عَبْدِهِ ʿabdihi His slave
      ك-ت-ب
      ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ الْكِتٰبَ l-kitāba the Book,
      ل-م
      وَلَمۡ وَلَمْ walam and not
      ج-ع-ل
      يَجۡعَل یَجْعَلْ yajʿal (has) made
      ل
      لَّهُۥ لَّهٗ lahu in it
      ع-و-ج
      عِوَجَاۜ عِوَجًا ʿiwajā any crookedness.
      ١ ۟ؕٚ (1)
      18:2
      ق-و-م
      قَيِّمٗا قَیِّمًا qayyiman Straight,
      ن-ذ-ر
      لِّيُنذِرَ لِّیُنْذِرَ liyundhira to warn
      ب-ا-س
      بَأۡسٗا بَاْسًا basan (of) a punishment
      ش-د-د
      شَدِيدٗا شَدِیْدًا shadīdan severe,
      م-ن
      مِّن مِّنْ min from
      ل-د-ن
      لَّدُنۡهُ لَّدُنْهُ ladun'hu near Him,
      ب-ش-ر
      وَيُبَشِّرَ وَیُبَشِّرَ wayubashira and give glad tidings
      ا-م-ن
      ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ l-mu'minīna (to) the believers,
      ا-ل-ل-ذ
      ٱلَّذِينَ الَّذِیْنَ alladhīna those who
      ع-م-ل
      يَعۡمَلُونَ یَعْمَلُوْنَ yaʿmalūna do
      ص-ل-ح
      ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ الصّٰلِحٰتِ ṣ-ṣāliḥāti righteous deeds,
      ا-ن-ن
      أَنَّ اَنَّ anna that
      ل
      لَهُمۡ لَهُمْ lahum for them
      ا-ج-ر
      أَجۡرًا اَجْرًا ajran (is) a good reward.
      ح-س-ن
      حَسَنٗا حَسَنًا ḥasanan (is) a good reward.
      ٢ ۟ۙ (2)
      18:3
      م-ك-ث
      مَّٰكِثِينَ مَّاكِثِیْنَ mākithīna (They will) abide
      ف-ي
      فِيهِ فِیْهِ fīhi in it
      ا-ب-د
      أَبَدٗا اَبَدًا abadan forever.
      ٣ ۟ۙ (3)
      18:4
      ن-ذ-ر
      وَيُنذِرَ وَّیُنْذِرَ wayundhira And to warn
      ا-ل-ل-ذ
      ٱلَّذِينَ الَّذِیْنَ alladhīna those who
      ق-و-ل
      قَالُواْ قَالُوا qālū say,
      ا-خ-ذ
      ٱتَّخَذَ اتَّخَذَ ittakhadha "Allah has taken
      ا-ل-ه
      ٱللَّهُ اللّٰهُ l-lahu "Allah has taken
      و-ل-د
      وَلَدٗا وَلَدًا waladan a son."
      ٤ ۟ۗ (4)
      18:5
      م-ا
      مَّا مَا Not
      ل
      لَهُم لَهُمْ lahum they have
      ب
      بِهِۦ بِهٖ bihi about it
      م-ن
      مِنۡ مِنْ min any
      ع-ل-م
      عِلۡمٖ عِلْمٍ ʿil'min knowledge
      ل-ا
      وَلَا وَّلَا walā and not
      ا-ب-و
      لِأٓبَآئِهِمۡۚ لِاٰبَآىِٕهِمْ ؕ— liābāihim their forefathers.
      ك-ب-ر
      كَبُرَتۡ كَبُرَتْ kaburat Mighty (is)
      ك-ل-م
      كَلِمَةٗ كَلِمَةً kalimatan the word
      خ-ر-ج
      تَخۡرُجُ تَخْرُجُ takhruju (that) comes out
      م-ن
      مِنۡ مِنْ min of
      ف-و-ه
      أَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡۚ اَفْوَاهِهِمْ ؕ— afwāhihim their mouths.
      ا-ن
      إِن اِنْ in Not
      ق-و-ل
      يَقُولُونَ یَّقُوْلُوْنَ yaqūlūna they say
      ا-ل-ل-ا
      إِلَّا اِلَّا illā except
      ك-ذ-ب
      كَذِبٗا كَذِبًا kadhiban a lie.
      ٥ ۟ (5)
      18:6
      ل-ع-ل-ل
      فَلَعَلَّكَ فَلَعَلَّكَ falaʿallaka Then perhaps you would (be)
      ب-خ-ع
      بَٰخِعٞ بَاخِعٌ bākhiʿun the one who kills
      ن-ف-س
      نَّفۡسَكَ نَّفْسَكَ nafsaka yourself
      ع-ل-ي
      عَلَىٰٓ عَلٰۤی ʿalā over
      ا-ث-ر
      ءَاثَٰرِهِمۡ اٰثَارِهِمْ āthārihim their footsteps,
      ا-ن
      إِن اِنْ in if
      ل-م
      لَّمۡ لَّمْ lam not
      ا-م-ن
      يُؤۡمِنُواْ یُؤْمِنُوْا yu'minū they believe
      ه-ا-ذ
      بِهَٰذَا بِهٰذَا bihādhā in this
      ح-د-ث
      ٱلۡحَدِيثِ الْحَدِیْثِ l-ḥadīthi [the] narration,
      ا-س-ف
      أَسَفًا اَسَفًا asafan (in) grief.
      ٦ ۟ (6)
      18:7
      ا-ن-ن
      إِنَّا اِنَّا innā Indeed, We
      ج-ع-ل
      جَعَلۡنَا جَعَلْنَا jaʿalnā We have made
      م-ا
      مَا مَا what
      ع-ل-ي
      عَلَى عَلَی ʿalā (is) on
      ا-ر-ض
      ٱلۡأَرۡضِ الْاَرْضِ l-arḍi the earth
      ز-ي-ن
      زِينَةٗ زِیْنَةً zīnatan adornment
      ل
      لَّهَا لَّهَا lahā for it,
      ب-ل-و
      لِنَبۡلُوَهُمۡ لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ linabluwahum that We may test [them]
      ا-ي-ي
      أَيُّهُمۡ اَیُّهُمْ ayyuhum which of them
      ح-س-ن
      أَحۡسَنُ اَحْسَنُ aḥsanu (is) best
      ع-م-ل
      عَمَلٗا عَمَلًا ʿamalan (in) deed.
      ٧ ۟ (7)
      18:8
      ا-ن-ن
      وَإِنَّا وَاِنَّا wa-innā And indeed, We
      ج-ع-ل
      لَجَٰعِلُونَ لَجٰعِلُوْنَ lajāʿilūna (will) surely make
      م-ا
      مَا مَا what
      ع-ل-ي
      عَلَيۡهَا عَلَیْهَا ʿalayhā (is) on it
      ص-ع-د
      صَعِيدٗا صَعِیْدًا ṣaʿīdan soil
      ج-ر-ز
      جُرُزًا جُرُزًا juruzan barren.
      ٨ ۟ؕ (8)
      18:9
      ا-م
      أَمۡ اَمْ am Or
      ح-س-ب
      حَسِبۡتَ حَسِبْتَ ḥasib'ta you think
      ا-ن-ن
      أَنَّ اَنَّ anna that
      ص-ح-ب
      أَصۡحَٰبَ اَصْحٰبَ aṣḥāba (the) companions
      ك-ه-ف
      ٱلۡكَهۡفِ الْكَهْفِ l-kahfi (of) the cave
      ر-ق-م
      وَٱلرَّقِيمِ وَالرَّقِیْمِ ۙ— war-raqīmi and the inscription
      ك-و-ن
      كَانُواْ كَانُوْا kānū were,
      م-ن
      مِنۡ مِنْ min among
      ا-ي-ا
      ءَايَٰتِنَا اٰیٰتِنَا āyātinā Our Signs,
      ع-ج-ب
      عَجَبًا عَجَبًا ʿajaban a wonder?
      ٩ ۟ (9)
      18:10
      ا-ذ
      إِذۡ اِذْ idh When
      ا-و-ي
      أَوَى اَوَی awā retreated
      ف-ت-ي
      ٱلۡفِتۡيَةُ الْفِتْیَةُ l-fit'yatu the youths
      ا-ل-ي
      إِلَى اِلَی ilā to
      ك-ه-ف
      ٱلۡكَهۡفِ الْكَهْفِ l-kahfi the cave,
      ق-و-ل
      فَقَالُواْ فَقَالُوْا faqālū and they said,
      ر-ب-ب
      رَبَّنَآ رَبَّنَاۤ rabbanā "Our Lord!
      ا-ت-ي
      ءَاتِنَا اٰتِنَا ātinā Grant us
      م-ن
      مِن مِنْ min from
      ل-د-ن
      لَّدُنكَ لَّدُنْكَ ladunka Yourself
      ر-ح-م
      رَحۡمَةٗ رَحْمَةً raḥmatan Mercy,
      ه-ي-ا
      وَهَيِّئۡ وَّهَیِّئْ wahayyi and facilitate
      ل
      لَنَا لَنَا lanā for us
      م-ن
      مِنۡ مِنْ min [from]
      ا-م-ر
      أَمۡرِنَا اَمْرِنَا amrinā our affair
      ر-ش-د
      رَشَدٗا رَشَدًا rashadan (in the) right way."
      ١٠ ۟ (10)
