(of) the Book,

lā
(there is) no
ر-ي-ب
![]()
رَيۡبَ
رَیْبَ
rayba
doubt
ف-ي
![]()
فِيهِ
فِیْهِ
fīhi
about it,
م-ن
![]()
مِن
مِنْ
min
from
ر-ب-ب
![]()
رَّبِّ
رَّبِّ
rabbi
(the) Lord
ع-ل-م
![]()
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
الْعٰلَمِیْنَ
l-ʿālamīna
(of) the worlds.
The revelation of the Book, in which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the universe.

(do) they say,

افْتَرٰىهُ ۚ—
if'tarāhu
"He invented it?"
ب-ل

بَلۡ
بَلْ
bal
Nay,
ه-و
![]()
هُوَ
هُوَ
huwa
it
ح-ق-ق
![]()
ٱلۡحَقُّ
الْحَقُّ
l-ḥaqu
(is) the truth
م-ن

مِن
مِنْ
min
from
ر-ب-ب
![]()
رَّبِّكَ
رَّبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
ن-ذ-ر
![]()
لِتُنذِرَ
لِتُنْذِرَ
litundhira
that you may warn
ق-و-م
![]()
قَوۡمٗا
قَوْمًا
qawman
a people
م-ا
![]()
مَّآ
مَّاۤ
mā
not
ا-ت-ي
![]()
أَتَىٰهُم
اَتٰىهُمْ
atāhum
has come to them
م-ن
![]()
مِّن
مِّنْ
min
any
ن-ذ-ر
![]()
نَّذِيرٖ
نَّذِیْرٍ
nadhīrin
warner
م-ن
![]()
مِّن
مِّنْ
min
before you
ق-ب-ل
![]()
قَبۡلِكَ
قَبْلِكَ
qablika
before you
ل-ع-ل-ل
![]()
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
لَعَلَّهُمْ
laʿallahum
so that they may
ه-د-ي
![]()
يَهۡتَدُونَ
یَهْتَدُوْنَ
yahtadūna
be guided.
Do they perchance say, “He made it up”? No, this is the truth from your Lord, that you may warn a people to whom no herald has come before you, so that they may be guided.

(is) the One Who

خَلَقَ
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
created
س-م-و

ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
السَّمٰوٰتِ
s-samāwāti
the heavens
ا-ر-ض
![]()
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
وَالْاَرْضَ
wal-arḍa
and the earth
م-ا
![]()
وَمَا
وَمَا
wamā
and whatever
ب-ي-ن
![]()
بَيۡنَهُمَا
بَیْنَهُمَا
baynahumā
(is) between them
ف-ي
![]()
فِي
فِیْ
fī
in
س-ت-ت
![]()
سِتَّةِ
سِتَّةِ
sittati
six
ي-و-م
![]()
أَيَّامٖ
اَیَّامٍ
ayyāmin
periods.
ث-م-م
![]()
ثُمَّ
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
س-و-ي
![]()
ٱسۡتَوَىٰ
اسْتَوٰی
is'tawā
established Himself
ع-ل-ي
![]()
عَلَى
عَلَی
ʿalā
on
ع-ر-ش
![]()
ٱلۡعَرۡشِۖ
الْعَرْشِ ؕ—
l-ʿarshi
the Throne.
م-ا
![]()
مَا
مَا
mā
Not
ل
![]()
لَكُم
لَكُمْ
lakum
for you
م-ن
![]()
مِّن
مِّنْ
min
besides Him
د-و-ن
![]()
دُونِهِۦ
دُوْنِهٖ
dūnihi
besides Him
م-ن
![]()
مِن
مِنْ
min
any
و-ل-ي
![]()
وَلِيّٖ
وَّلِیٍّ
waliyyin
protector
ل-ا
![]()
وَلَا
وَّلَا
walā
and not
ش-ف-ع
![]()
شَفِيعٍۚ
شَفِیْعٍ ؕ—
shafīʿin
any intercessor.
ل-ا
![]()
أَفَلَا
اَفَلَا
afalā
Then will not
ذ-ك-ر
![]()
تَتَذَكَّرُونَ
تَتَذَكَّرُوْنَ
tatadhakkarūna
you take heed?
God is the one who created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them in six days, then mounted the Throne. You have no other protector, and no intercessor. So will you not be mindful?

l-arḍi
the earth;
ث-م-م

ثُمَّ
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
ع-ر-ج

يَعۡرُجُ
یَعْرُجُ
yaʿruju
it will ascend
ا-ل-ي
![]()
إِلَيۡهِ
اِلَیْهِ
ilayhi
to Him
ف-ي
![]()
فِي
فِیْ
fī
in
ي-و-م
![]()
يَوۡمٖ
یَوْمٍ
yawmin
a Day,
ك-و-ن
![]()
كَانَ
كَانَ
kāna
(the) measure of which is
ق-د-ر

مِقۡدَارُهُۥٓ
مِقْدَارُهٗۤ
miq'dāruhu
(the) measure of which is
ا-ل-ف

أَلۡفَ
اَلْفَ
alfa
a thousand
س-ن-و
![]()
سَنَةٖ
سَنَةٍ
sanatin
years
م-م-ا
![]()
مِّمَّا
مِّمَّا
mimmā
of what
ع-د-د
![]()
تَعُدُّونَ
تَعُدُّوْنَ
taʿuddūna
you count.
God governs order from sky to earth; then it will go up to God on a day that will last a thousand years by your count.

ذ-ل-ك

ذٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
ع-ل-م

عَٰلِمُ
عٰلِمُ
ʿālimu
(is the) Knower
غ-ي-ب

ٱلۡغَيۡبِ
الْغَیْبِ
l-ghaybi
(of) the hidden
ش-ه-د
![]()
وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ
وَالشَّهَادَةِ
wash-shahādati
and the witnessed,
ع-ز-ز
![]()
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
الْعَزِیْزُ
l-ʿazīzu
the All-Mighty,
ر-ح-م
![]()
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
الرَّحِیْمُ
r-raḥīmu
the Most Merciful,
That is the Almighty, the Merciful, knower of the hidden and the manifest,

He created,
ب-د-ا

وَبَدَأَ
وَبَدَاَ
wabada-a
and He began
خ-ل-ق

خَلۡقَ
خَلْقَ
khalqa
(the) creation
ا-ن-س
![]()
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنِ
الْاِنْسَانِ
l-insāni
(of) man
م-ن
![]()
مِن
مِنْ
min
from
ط-ي-ن
![]()
طِينٖ
طِیْنٍ
ṭīnin
clay.
who did best by everything created, and began the creation of man from clay,

He made

his progeny

سُلٰلَةٍ
sulālatin
an extract
م-ن

مِّنْ
min
of
م-و-ه
![]()
مَّآءٖ
مَّآءٍ
māin
water
م-ه-ن
![]()
مَّهِينٖ
مَّهِیْنٍ
mahīnin
despised.
and made his progeny from an extract of a lowly liquid,

Then

سَوَّىٰهُ
سَوّٰىهُ
sawwāhu
He fashioned him
ن-ف-خ

wanafakha
and breathed
ف-ي

فِيهِ
فِیْهِ
fīhi
into him
م-ن

مِن
مِنْ
min
from
ر-و-ح

رُّوحِهِۦۖ
رُّوْحِهٖ
rūḥihi
His spirit
ج-ع-ل

وَجَعَلَ
وَجَعَلَ
wajaʿala
and made
ل
![]()
لَكُمُ
لَكُمُ
lakumu
for you
س-م-ع
![]()
ٱلسَّمۡعَ
السَّمْعَ
s-samʿa
the hearing
ب-ص-ر
![]()
وَٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرَ
وَالْاَبْصَارَ
wal-abṣāra
and the sight
ف-ا-د
![]()
وَٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةَۚ
وَالْاَفْـِٕدَةَ ؕ—
wal-afidata
and feelings;
ق-ل-ل
![]()
قَلِيلٗا
قَلِیْلًا
qalīlan
little
م-ا
![]()
مَّا
مَّا
mā
[what]
ش-ك-ر
![]()
تَشۡكُرُونَ
تَشْكُرُوْنَ
tashkurūna
thanks you give.
yet proportioned him and breathed some divine spirit into him, giving you hearing, seeing, and intelligence, You are scarcely grateful,

وَقَالُوٓاْ
وَقَالُوْۤا
waqālū
And they say,
ا-ذ-ا

أَءِذَا
ءَاِذَا
a-idhā
"Is (it) when
ض-ل-ل

ضَلَلۡنَا
ضَلَلْنَا
ḍalalnā
we are lost
ف-ي
![]()
فِي
فِی
fī
in
ا-ر-ض
![]()
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
الْاَرْضِ
l-arḍi
the earth,
ا-ن-ن
![]()
أَءِنَّا
ءَاِنَّا
a-innā
will we
ف-ي
![]()
لَفِي
لَفِیْ
lafī
certainly be in
خ-ل-ق
![]()
خَلۡقٖ
خَلْقٍ
khalqin
a creation
ج-د-د
![]()
جَدِيدِۭۚ
جَدِیْدٍ ؕ۬—
jadīdin
new?"
ب-ل
![]()
بَلۡ
بَلْ
bal
Nay,
ه-م
![]()
هُم
هُمْ
hum
they
ل-ق-ي
![]()
بِلِقَآءِ
بِلِقَآءِ
biliqāi
in (the) meeting
ر-ب-ب
![]()
رَبِّهِمۡ
رَبِّهِمْ
rabbihim
(of) their Lord
ك-ف-ر
![]()
كَٰفِرُونَ
كٰفِرُوْنَ
kāfirūna
(are) disbelievers.
They still say, “What? When we are gone and forgotten under the ground, are we to be in a new creation?” They scoff at the meeting with their Lord,
