53:1
ن-ج-م
وَٱلنَّجۡمِ
وَالنَّجْمِ
wan-najmi
By the star
ا-ذ-ا
إِذَا
اِذَا
idhā
when
ه-و-ي
هَوَىٰ
هَوٰی
hawā
it goes down,
By the star when it descends,

م-ا
مَا
مَا
mā
Not
ض-ل-ل
ضَلَّ
ضَلَّ
ḍalla
has strayed
ص-ح-ب
صَاحِبُكُمۡ
صَاحِبُكُمْ
ṣāḥibukum
your companion
م-ا
وَمَا
وَمَا
wamā
and not
غ-و-ي
غَوَىٰ
غَوٰی
ghawā
has he erred,
your companion has not erred and has not gone astray;

م-ا
وَمَا
وَمَا
wamā
And not
ن-ط-ق
يَنطِقُ
یَنْطِقُ
yanṭiqu
he speaks
ع-ن
عَنِ
عَنِ
ʿani
from
ه-و-ي
ٱلۡهَوَىٰٓ
الْهَوٰی
l-hawā
the desire.
nor does he speak from desire.

ا-ن
إِنۡ
اِنْ
in
Not
ه-و
هُوَ
هُوَ
huwa
it
ا-ل-ل-ا
إِلَّا
اِلَّا
illā
(is) except
و-ح-ي
وَحۡيٞ
وَحْیٌ
waḥyun
a revelation
و-ح-ي
يُوحَىٰ
یُّوْحٰی
yūḥā
revealed,
It is just an inspiration with which he is inspired:

ع-ل-م
عَلَّمَهُۥ
عَلَّمَهٗ
ʿallamahu
Has taught him
ش-د-د
شَدِيدُ
شَدِیْدُ
shadīdu
the (one) mighty
ق-و-ي
ٱلۡقُوَىٰ
الْقُوٰی
l-quwā
(in) power,
one strong in power taught him,

53:6
ذ-و
ذُو
ذُوْ
dhū
Possessor of soundness.
م-ر-ر
مِرَّةٖ
مِرَّةٍ ؕ—
mirratin
Possessor of soundness.
س-و-ي
فَٱسۡتَوَىٰ
فَاسْتَوٰی
fa-is'tawā
And he rose,
one full of intelligence: he stood up straight

ه-و
وَهُوَ
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
While he
ا-ف-ق
بِٱلۡأُفُقِ
بِالْاُفُقِ
bil-ufuqi
(was) in the horizon -
ع-ل-و
ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ
الْاَعْلٰی
l-aʿlā
the highest.
at the highest range of view,

ث-م-م
ثُمَّ
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
د-ن-و
دَنَا
دَنَا
danā
he approached
د-ل-و
فَتَدَلَّىٰ
فَتَدَلّٰی
fatadallā
and came down,
then he approached and came near,

53:9
ك-و-ن
فَكَانَ
فَكَانَ
fakāna
And was
ق-و-ب
قَابَ
قَابَ
qāba
(at) a distance
ق-و-س
قَوۡسَيۡنِ
قَوْسَیْنِ
qawsayni
(of) two bow-(lengths)
ا-و
أَوۡ
اَوْ
aw
or
د-ن-و
أَدۡنَىٰ
اَدْنٰی
adnā
nearer.
as close as two bow lengths, or closer,

53:10
و-ح-ي
فَأَوۡحَىٰٓ
فَاَوْحٰۤی
fa-awḥā
So he revealed
ا-ل-ي
إِلَىٰ
اِلٰی
ilā
to
ع-ب-د
عَبۡدِهِۦ
عَبْدِهٖ
ʿabdihi
His slave
م-ا
مَآ
مَاۤ
mā
what
و-ح-ي
أَوۡحَىٰ
اَوْحٰی
awḥā
he revealed.
and revealed to the servant of God what is divine inspiration.
