ح-م-د

ٱلۡحَمۡدُ
اَلْحَمْدُ
al-ḥamdu
All praises
ا-ل-ه
![]()
لِلَّهِ
لِلّٰهِ
lillahi
(be) to Allah,
ف-ط-ر
![]()
فَاطِرِ
فَاطِرِ
fāṭiri
Originator
س-م-و
![]()
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
السَّمٰوٰتِ
s-samāwāti
(of) the heavens
ا-ر-ض
![]()
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
وَالْاَرْضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth,
ج-ع-ل
![]()
جَاعِلِ
جَاعِلِ
jāʿili
(Who) makes
م-ل-ك
![]()
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
الْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةِ
l-malāikati
the Angels
ر-س-ل
![]()
رُسُلًا
رُسُلًا
rusulan
messengers
ا-و-ل
![]()
أُوْلِيٓ
اُولِیْۤ
ulī
having wings
ج-ن-ح
![]()
أَجۡنِحَةٖ
اَجْنِحَةٍ
ajniḥatin
having wings
ث-ن-ي
![]()
مَّثۡنَىٰ
مَّثْنٰی
mathnā
two
ث-ل-ث
![]()
وَثُلَٰثَ
وَثُلٰثَ
wathulātha
or three
ر-ب-ع
![]()
وَرُبَٰعَۚ
وَرُبٰعَ ؕ—
warubāʿa
or four.
ز-ي-د
![]()
يَزِيدُ
یَزِیْدُ
yazīdu
He increases
ف-ي
![]()
فِي
فِی
fī
in
خ-ل-ق
![]()
ٱلۡخَلۡقِ
الْخَلْقِ
l-khalqi
the creation
م-ا
![]()
مَا
مَا
mā
what
ش-ي-ا
![]()
يَشَآءُۚ
یَشَآءُ ؕ—
yashāu
He wills.
ا-ن-ن
![]()
إِنَّ
اِنَّ
inna
Indeed,
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهَ
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
ع-ل-ي
![]()
عَلَىٰ
عَلٰی
ʿalā
(is) on
ك-ل-ل
![]()
كُلِّ
كُلِّ
kulli
every
ش-ي-ا
![]()
شَيۡءٖ
شَیْءٍ
shayin
thing
ق-د-ر
![]()
قَدِيرٞ
قَدِیْرٌ
qadīrun
All-Powerful.
All praise is due God, creator of the heavens and the earth, who made the angels messengers with wings, double, triple, and quadruple. Adding to creation at will, God has power over all things.

لِلنَّاسِ
لِلنَّاسِ

to mankind

min

ر-ح-م

رَّحۡمَةٖ
رَّحْمَةٍ
raḥmatin
Mercy,
ل-ا
![]()
فَلَا
فَلَا
falā
then none
م-س-ك
![]()
مُمۡسِكَ
مُمْسِكَ
mum'sika
(can) withhold
ل
![]()
لَهَاۖ
لَهَا ۚ—
lahā
it.
م-ا
![]()
وَمَا
وَمَا
wamā
And what
م-س-ك
![]()
يُمۡسِكۡ
یُمْسِكْ ۙ—
yum'sik
He withholds,
ل-ا
![]()
فَلَا
فَلَا
falā
then none
ر-س-ل
![]()
مُرۡسِلَ
مُرْسِلَ
mur'sila
(can) release
ل
![]()
لَهُۥ
لَهٗ
lahu
it
م-ن
![]()
مِنۢ
مِنْ
min
thereafter.
ب-ع-د
![]()
بَعۡدِهِۦۚ
بَعْدِهٖ ؕ—
baʿdihi
thereafter.
ه-و
![]()
وَهُوَ
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ع-ز-ز
![]()
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
الْعَزِیْزُ
l-ʿazīzu
(is) the All-Mighty,
ح-ك-م
![]()
ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
الْحَكِیْمُ
l-ḥakīmu
the All-Wise.
Whatever God grants people out of mercy, none can withhold; and whatever God withholds, no one else can deliver, for God is the almighty, the epitome of wisdom.

یٰۤاَیُّهَا

O
ن-و-س

ٱلنَّاسُ
النَّاسُ
n-nāsu
mankind!
ذ-ك-ر

ٱذۡكُرُواْ
اذْكُرُوْا
udh'kurū
Remember
ن-ع-م
![]()
نِعۡمَتَ
نِعْمَتَ
niʿ'mata
(the) Favor
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهِ
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
ع-ل-ي
![]()
عَلَيۡكُمۡۚ
عَلَیْكُمْ ؕ—
ʿalaykum
upon you.
ه-ل
![]()
هَلۡ
هَلْ
hal
Is
م-ن
![]()
مِنۡ
مِنْ
min
(there) any
خ-ل-ق
![]()
خَٰلِقٍ
خَالِقٍ
khāliqin
creator
غ-ي-ر
![]()
غَيۡرُ
غَیْرُ
ghayru
other (than) Allah
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهِ
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
other (than) Allah
ر-ز-ق
![]()
يَرۡزُقُكُم
یَرْزُقُكُمْ
yarzuqukum
who provides for you
م-ن
![]()
مِّنَ
مِّنَ
mina
from
س-م-و
![]()
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
السَّمَآءِ
s-samāi
the sky
ا-ر-ض
![]()
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
وَالْاَرْضِ ؕ—
wal-arḍi
and the earth?
ل-ا
![]()
لَآ
لَاۤ
lā
(There is) no
ا-ل-ه
![]()
إِلَٰهَ
اِلٰهَ
ilāha
god
ا-ل-ل-ا
![]()
إِلَّا
اِلَّا
illā
but
ه-و
![]()
هُوَۖ
هُوَ ۖؗ—
huwa
He.
ا-ن-ن-ي
![]()
فَأَنَّىٰ
فَاَنّٰی
fa-annā
Then, how
ا-ف-ك
![]()
تُؤۡفَكُونَ
تُؤْفَكُوْنَ
tu'fakūna
(are) you deluded?
O humanity, remember God’s blessings on you. Is there a creator other than God who provides for you from the sky or the earth? There is no other deity; so how is it you’re deceived?

And if
ك-ذ-ب

يُكَذِّبُوكَ
یُّكَذِّبُوْكَ
yukadhibūka
they deny you,
ق-د

فَقَدۡ
فَقَدْ
faqad
then certainly
ك-ذ-ب
![]()
كُذِّبَتۡ
كُذِّبَتْ
kudhibat
were denied
ر-س-ل
![]()
رُسُلٞ
رُسُلٌ
rusulun
Messengers
م-ن
![]()
مِّن
مِّنْ
min
before you.
ق-ب-ل
![]()
قَبۡلِكَۚ
قَبْلِكَ ؕ—
qablika
before you.
ا-ل-ي
![]()
وَإِلَى
وَاِلَی
wa-ilā
And to
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهِ
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
Allah
ر-ج-ع
![]()
تُرۡجَعُ
تُرْجَعُ
tur'jaʿu
return
ا-م-ر
![]()
ٱلۡأُمُورُ
الْاُمُوْرُ
l-umūru
the matters.
Even if they call you a liar, so have messengers been called liars before you; but all affairs are referred to God.

ا-ي-ي

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
یٰۤاَیُّهَا
yāayyuhā
O
ن-و-س
![]()
ٱلنَّاسُ
النَّاسُ
n-nāsu
mankind!
ا-ن-ن

إِنَّ
اِنَّ
inna
Indeed,
و-ع-د
![]()
وَعۡدَ
وَعْدَ
waʿda
(the) promise
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهِ
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
ح-ق-ق
![]()
حَقّٞۖ
حَقٌّ
ḥaqqun
(is) true.
ل-ا
![]()
فَلَا
فَلَا
falā
So (let) not
غ-ر-ر
![]()
تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ
تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ
taghurrannakumu
deceive you
ح-ي-ي
![]()
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ
الْحَیٰوةُ
l-ḥayatu
the life
د-ن-و
![]()
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
الدُّنْیَا ۥ—
d-dun'yā
(of) the world,
ل-ا
![]()
وَلَا
وَلَا
walā
and (let) not
غ-ر-ر
![]()
يَغُرَّنَّكُم
یَغُرَّنَّكُمْ
yaghurrannakum
deceive you
ا-ل-ه
![]()
بِٱللَّهِ
بِاللّٰهِ
bil-lahi
about Allah
غ-ر-ر
![]()
ٱلۡغَرُورُ
الْغَرُوْرُ
l-gharūru
the Deceiver.
O humanity, the promise of God is true, so don’t let the life of the world deceive you, and don’t let illusion deceive you about God.

ا-ن-ن

Indeed,
ش-ط-ن

ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَ
الشَّیْطٰنَ
sh-shayṭāna
the Shaitaan
ل

لَكُمۡ
لَكُمْ
lakum
(is) to you
ع-د-و
![]()
عَدُوّٞ
عَدُوٌّ
ʿaduwwun
an enemy,
ا-خ-ذ
![]()
فَٱتَّخِذُوهُ
فَاتَّخِذُوْهُ
fa-ittakhidhūhu
so take him
ع-د-و
![]()
عَدُوًّاۚ
عَدُوًّا ؕ—
ʿaduwwan
(as) an enemy.
ا-ن-ن-م
![]()
إِنَّمَا
اِنَّمَا
innamā
Only
د-ع-و
![]()
يَدۡعُواْ
یَدْعُوْا
yadʿū
he invites
ح-ز-ب
![]()
حِزۡبَهُۥ
حِزْبَهٗ
ḥiz'bahu
his party
ك-و-ن
![]()
لِيَكُونُواْ
لِیَكُوْنُوْا
liyakūnū
that they may be
م-ن
![]()
مِنۡ
مِنْ
min
among
ص-ح-ب
![]()
أَصۡحَٰبِ
اَصْحٰبِ
aṣḥābi
(the) companions
س-ع-ر
![]()
ٱلسَّعِيرِ
السَّعِیْرِ
s-saʿīri
(of) the Blaze.
For Satan is an enemy to you, so regard him as an enemy, who only calls to his partisans, to become inmates of the inferno.

ا-ل-ل-ذ

ٱلَّذِينَ
اَلَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
Those who
ك-ف-ر
![]()
كَفَرُواْ
كَفَرُوْا
kafarū
disbelieve,
ل
![]()
لَهُمۡ
لَهُمْ
lahum
for them
ع-ذ-ب
![]()
عَذَابٞ
عَذَابٌ
ʿadhābun
(will be) a punishment
ش-د-د
![]()
شَدِيدٞۖ
شَدِیْدٌ ؕ۬—
shadīdun
severe,
ا-ل-ل-ذ
![]()
وَٱلَّذِينَ
وَالَّذِیْنَ
wa-alladhīna
and those
ا-م-ن
![]()
ءَامَنُواْ
اٰمَنُوْا
āmanū
who believe
ع-م-ل
![]()
وَعَمِلُواْ
وَعَمِلُوا
waʿamilū
and do
ص-ل-ح
![]()
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
الصّٰلِحٰتِ
ṣ-ṣāliḥāti
righteous deeds,
ل
![]()
لَهُم
لَهُمْ
lahum
for them
غ-ف-ر
![]()
مَّغۡفِرَةٞ
مَّغْفِرَةٌ
maghfiratun
(will be) forgiveness
ا-ج-ر
![]()
وَأَجۡرٞ
وَّاَجْرٌ
wa-ajrun
and a reward
ك-ب-ر
![]()
كَبِيرٌ
كَبِیْرٌ
kabīrun
great.
For those who scoffed there is intense agony, while for those who believed and did good works there is forgiveness and tremendous reward.

م-ن

أَفَمَن
اَفَمَنْ
afaman
Then is (he) who -
ز-ي-ن

زُيِّنَ
زُیِّنَ
zuyyina
is made fair-seeming
ل
![]()
لَهُۥ
لَهٗ
lahu
to him
س-و-ا
![]()
سُوٓءُ
سُوْٓءُ
sūu
(the) evil
ع-م-ل
![]()
عَمَلِهِۦ
عَمَلِهٖ
ʿamalihi
(of) his deed -
ر-ا-ي
![]()
فَرَءَاهُ
فَرَاٰهُ
faraāhu
so that he sees it
ح-س-ن
![]()
حَسَنٗاۖ
حَسَنًا ؕ—
ḥasanan
(as) good?
ا-ن-ن
![]()
فَإِنَّ
فَاِنَّ
fa-inna
For indeed,
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهَ
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
ض-ل-ل
![]()
يُضِلُّ
یُضِلُّ
yuḍillu
lets go astray
م-ن
![]()
مَن
مَنْ
man
whom
ش-ي-ا
![]()
يَشَآءُ
یَّشَآءُ
yashāu
He wills
ه-د-ي
![]()
وَيَهۡدِي
وَیَهْدِیْ
wayahdī
and guides
م-ن
![]()
مَن
مَنْ
man
whom
ش-ي-ا
![]()
يَشَآءُۖ
یَّشَآءُ ۖؗ—
yashāu
He wills.
ل-ا
![]()
فَلَا
فَلَا
falā
So (let) not
ذ-ه-ب
![]()
تَذۡهَبۡ
تَذْهَبْ
tadhhab
go out
ن-ف-س
![]()
نَفۡسُكَ
نَفْسُكَ
nafsuka
your soul
ع-ل-ي
![]()
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
عَلَیْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
for them
ح-س-ر
![]()
حَسَرَٰتٍۚ
حَسَرٰتٍ ؕ—
ḥasarātin
(in) regrets.
ا-ن-ن
![]()
إِنَّ
اِنَّ
inna
Indeed,
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهَ
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
ع-ل-م
![]()
عَلِيمُۢ
عَلِیْمٌۢ
ʿalīmun
(is) All-Knower
ب-م-ا
![]()
بِمَا
بِمَا
bimā
of what
ص-ن-ع
![]()
يَصۡنَعُونَ
یَصْنَعُوْنَ
yaṣnaʿūna
they do.
But is it so for the one whose evil conduct is made to seem good to him? God leaves astray anyone at will, and guides anyone at ill; so don’t let your soul go sighing over them— for God knows whatever they do.

ا-ل-ه

وَاللّٰهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
ا-ل-ل-ذ
![]()
ٱلَّذِيٓ
الَّذِیْۤ
alladhī
(is) the One Who
ر-س-ل
![]()
أَرۡسَلَ
اَرْسَلَ
arsala
sends
ر-و-ح
![]()
ٱلرِّيَٰحَ
الرِّیٰحَ
r-riyāḥa
the winds
ث-و-ر
![]()
فَتُثِيرُ
فَتُثِیْرُ
fatuthīru
so that they raise
س-ح-ب
![]()
سَحَابٗا
سَحَابًا
saḥāban
(the) clouds,
س-و-ق
![]()
فَسُقۡنَٰهُ
فَسُقْنٰهُ
fasuq'nāhu
and We drive them
ا-ل-ي
![]()
إِلَىٰ
اِلٰی
ilā
to
ب-ل-د
![]()
بَلَدٖ
بَلَدٍ
baladin
a land
م-و-ت
![]()
مَّيِّتٖ
مَّیِّتٍ
mayyitin
dead
ح-ي-ي
![]()
فَأَحۡيَيۡنَا
فَاَحْیَیْنَا
fa-aḥyaynā
and We revive
ب
![]()
بِهِ
بِهِ
bihi
therewith
ا-ر-ض
![]()
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
الْاَرْضَ
l-arḍa
the earth
ب-ع-د
![]()
بَعۡدَ
بَعْدَ
baʿda
after
م-و-ت
![]()
مَوۡتِهَاۚ
مَوْتِهَا ؕ—
mawtihā
its death.
ذ-ل-ك
![]()
كَذَٰلِكَ
كَذٰلِكَ
kadhālika
Thus
ن-ش-ر
![]()
ٱلنُّشُورُ
النُّشُوْرُ
n-nushūru
(will be) the Resurrection.
God is the one who sends the winds that raise the clouds: then We drive them to a land that is dead, and revive the earth thereby after its death. That is how the resurrection will be.

[is] desires

يُرِيدُ
یُرِیْدُ
yurīdu
[is] desires
ع-ز-ز
![]()
ٱلۡعِزَّةَ
الْعِزَّةَ
l-ʿizata
the honor,
ا-ل-ه
![]()
فَلِلَّهِ
فَلِلّٰهِ
falillahi
then for Allah
ع-ز-ز
![]()
ٱلۡعِزَّةُ
الْعِزَّةُ
l-ʿizatu
(is) the Honor
ج-م-ع
![]()
جَمِيعًاۚ
جَمِیْعًا ؕ—
jamīʿan
all.
ا-ل-ي
![]()
إِلَيۡهِ
اِلَیْهِ
ilayhi
To Him
ص-ع-د
![]()
يَصۡعَدُ
یَصْعَدُ
yaṣʿadu
ascends
ك-ل-م
![]()
ٱلۡكَلِمُ
الْكَلِمُ
l-kalimu
the words
ط-ي-ب
![]()
ٱلطَّيِّبُ
الطَّیِّبُ
ṭ-ṭayibu
good,
ع-م-ل
![]()
وَٱلۡعَمَلُ
وَالْعَمَلُ
wal-ʿamalu
and the deed
ص-ل-ح
![]()
ٱلصَّٰلِحُ
الصَّالِحُ
ṣ-ṣāliḥu
righteous
ر-ف-ع
![]()
يَرۡفَعُهُۥۚ
یَرْفَعُهٗ ؕ—
yarfaʿuhu
raises it.
ا-ل-ل-ذ
![]()
وَٱلَّذِينَ
وَالَّذِیْنَ
wa-alladhīna
But those who
م-ك-ر
![]()
يَمۡكُرُونَ
یَمْكُرُوْنَ
yamkurūna
plot
س-و-ا
![]()
ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ
السَّیِّاٰتِ
s-sayiāti
the evil,
ل
![]()
لَهُمۡ
لَهُمْ
lahum
for them
ع-ذ-ب
![]()
عَذَابٞ
عَذَابٌ
ʿadhābun
(is) a punishment
ش-د-د
![]()
شَدِيدٞۖ
شَدِیْدٌ ؕ—
shadīdun
severe,
م-ك-ر
![]()
وَمَكۡرُ
وَمَكْرُ
wamakru
and (the) plotting
ا-و-ل-ا
![]()
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
اُولٰٓىِٕكَ
ulāika
(of) those -
ه-و
![]()
هُوَ
هُوَ
huwa
it
ب-و-ر
![]()
يَبُورُ
یَبُوْرُ
yabūru
(will) perish.
If anyone wants power, well, all power belongs to God, to whom ascends the good word, and who exalts the act of integrity. As for those who connive evil, there is a severe punishment for them, and their conniving is in vain.
