      67:1
      ب-ر-ك
      تَبَٰرَكَ تَبٰرَكَ tabāraka Blessed is
      ا-ل-ل-ذ
      ٱلَّذِي الَّذِیْ alladhī He
      ي-د-ي
      بِيَدِهِ بِیَدِهِ biyadihi in Whose Hand
      م-ل-ك
      ٱلۡمُلۡكُ الْمُلْكُ ؗ— l-mul'ku (is) the Dominion,
      ه-و
      وَهُوَ وَهُوَ wahuwa and He
      ع-ل-ي
      عَلَىٰ عَلٰی ʿalā (is) over
      ك-ل-ل
      كُلِّ كُلِّ kulli every
      ش-ي-ا
      شَيۡءٖ شَیْءٍ shayin thing
      ق-د-ر
      قَدِيرٌ قَدِیْرُ qadīrun All-Powerful.
      ١ ۟ۙ (1)

      ​Blessed is the One who holds the dominion, and Who has power over all things,

      67:2
      ا-ل-ل-ذ
      ٱلَّذِي ١لَّذِیْ alladhī The One Who
      خ-ل-ق
      خَلَقَ خَلَقَ khalaqa created
      م-و-ت
      ٱلۡمَوۡتَ الْمَوْتَ l-mawta death
      ح-ي-ي
      وَٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ وَالْحَیٰوةَ wal-ḥayata and life
      ب-ل-و
      لِيَبۡلُوَكُمۡ لِیَبْلُوَكُمْ liyabluwakum that He may test you,
      ا-ي-ي
      أَيُّكُمۡ اَیُّكُمْ ayyukum which of you
      ح-س-ن
      أَحۡسَنُ اَحْسَنُ aḥsanu (is) best
      ع-م-ل
      عَمَلٗاۚ عَمَلًا ؕ— ʿamalan (in) deed.
      ه-و
      وَهُوَ وَهُوَ wahuwa And He
      ع-ز-ز
      ٱلۡعَزِيزُ الْعَزِیْزُ l-ʿazīzu (is) the All-Mighty,
      غ-ف-ر
      ٱلۡغَفُورُ الْغَفُوْرُ l-ghafūru the Oft-Forgiving.
      ٢ ۟ۙ (2)

      ​Who created death and life to test which of you is best in behavior; Almighty, the Forgiving,

      67:3
      ا-ل-ل-ذ
      ٱلَّذِي الَّذِیْ alladhī The One Who
      خ-ل-ق
      خَلَقَ خَلَقَ khalaqa created
      س-ب-ع
      سَبۡعَ سَبْعَ sabʿa seven
      س-م-و
      سَمَٰوَٰتٖ سَمٰوٰتٍ samāwātin heavens
      ط-ب-ق
      طِبَاقٗاۖ طِبَاقًا ؕ— ṭibāqan one above another.
      م-ا
      مَّا مَا Not
      ر-ا-ي
      تَرَىٰ تَرٰی tarā you see
      ف-ي
      فِي فِیْ in
      خ-ل-ق
      خَلۡقِ خَلْقِ khalqi (the) creation
      ر-ح-م
      ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ الرَّحْمٰنِ r-raḥmāni (of) the Most Gracious
      م-ن
      مِن مِنْ min any
      ف-و-ت
      تَفَٰوُتٖۖ تَفٰوُتٍ ؕ— tafāwutin fault.
      ر-ج-ع
      فَٱرۡجِعِ فَارْجِعِ fa-ir'jiʿi So return
      ب-ص-ر
      ٱلۡبَصَرَ الْبَصَرَ ۙ— l-baṣara the vision,
      ه-ل
      هَلۡ هَلْ hal can
      ر-ا-ي
      تَرَىٰ تَرٰی tarā you see
      م-ن
      مِن مِنْ min any
      ف-ط-ر
      فُطُورٖ فُطُوْرٍ fuṭūrin flaw?
      ٣ ۟ (3)

      ​the One who created seven skies in correspondence; you see no disharmony in the creation of the Benevolent One. Now look: do you see any gap?

      67:4
      ث-م-م
      ثُمَّ ثُمَّ thumma Then
      ر-ج-ع
      ٱرۡجِعِ ارْجِعِ ir'jiʿi return
      ب-ص-ر
      ٱلۡبَصَرَ الْبَصَرَ l-baṣara the vision
      ك-ر-ر
      كَرَّتَيۡنِ كَرَّتَیْنِ karratayni twice (again).
      ق-ل-ب
      يَنقَلِبۡ یَنْقَلِبْ yanqalib Will return
      ا-ل-ي
      إِلَيۡكَ اِلَیْكَ ilayka to you
      ب-ص-ر
      ٱلۡبَصَرُ الْبَصَرُ l-baṣaru the vision
      خ-س-ا
      خَاسِئٗا خَاسِئًا khāsi-an humbled
      ه-و
      وَهُوَ وَّهُوَ wahuwa while it
      ح-س-ر
      حَسِيرٞ حَسِیْرٌ ḥasīrun (is) fatigued.
      ٤ ۟ (4)

      ​Then look twice again, and your vision will come back to you weak and weary.

      67:5
      ق-د
      وَلَقَدۡ وَلَقَدْ walaqad And certainly
      ز-ي-ن
      زَيَّنَّا زَیَّنَّا zayyannā We have beautified
      س-م-و
      ٱلسَّمَآءَ السَّمَآءَ s-samāa the heaven
      د-ن-و
      ٱلدُّنۡيَا الدُّنْیَا d-dun'yā nearest
      ص-ب-ح
      بِمَصَٰبِيحَ بِمَصَابِیْحَ bimaṣābīḥa with lamps,
      ج-ع-ل
      وَجَعَلۡنَٰهَا وَجَعَلْنٰهَا wajaʿalnāhā and We have made them
      ر-ج-م
      رُجُومٗا رُجُوْمًا rujūman (as) missiles
      ش-ط-ن
      لِّلشَّيَٰطِينِۖ لِّلشَّیٰطِیْنِ lilshayāṭīni for the devils,
      ع-ت-د
      وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا وَاَعْتَدْنَا wa-aʿtadnā and We have prepared
      ل
      لَهُمۡ لَهُمْ lahum for them
      ع-ذ-ب
      عَذَابَ عَذَابَ ʿadhāba punishment
      س-ع-ر
      ٱلسَّعِيرِ السَّعِیْرِ s-saʿīri (of) the Blaze.
      ٥ ۟ (5)

      ​We have adorned the sky of the world with lamps, and made them missiles against the devils, for whom We have prepared the agony of the blaze.

      67:6
      ا-ل-ل-ذ
      وَلِلَّذِينَ وَلِلَّذِیْنَ walilladhīna And for those who
      ك-ف-ر
      كَفَرُواْ كَفَرُوْا kafarū disbelieved
      ر-ب-ب
      بِرَبِّهِمۡ بِرَبِّهِمْ birabbihim in their Lord
      ع-ذ-ب
      عَذَابُ عَذَابُ ʿadhābu (is the) punishment
      ج-ه-ن-م
      جَهَنَّمَۖ جَهَنَّمَ ؕ— jahannama (of) Hell,
      ب-ا-س
      وَبِئۡسَ وَبِئْسَ wabi'sa and wretched is
      ص-ي-ر
      ٱلۡمَصِيرُ الْمَصِیْرُ l-maṣīru the destination.
      ٦ ۟ (6)

      ​And for those who reject their Lord, there is the agony of hell, a miserable destination:

      67:7
      ا-ذ-ا
      إِذَآ اِذَاۤ idhā When
      ل-ق-ي
      أُلۡقُواْ اُلْقُوْا ul'qū they are thrown
      ف-ي
      فِيهَا فِیْهَا fīhā therein,
      س-م-ع
      سَمِعُواْ سَمِعُوْا samiʿū they will hear
      ل
      لَهَا لَهَا lahā from it
      ش-ه-ق
      شَهِيقٗا شَهِیْقًا shahīqan an inhaling
      ه-ي
      وَهِيَ وَّهِیَ wahiya while it
      ف-و-ر
      تَفُورُ تَفُوْرُ tafūru boils up.
      ٧ ۟ۙ (7)

      ​when they are thrown into it, they will hear its gasp as it flares,

      67:8
      ك-و-د
      تَكَادُ تَكَادُ takādu It almost
      م-ي-ز
      تَمَيَّزُ تَمَیَّزُ tamayyazu bursts
      م-ن
      مِنَ مِنَ mina from
      غ-ي-ظ
      ٱلۡغَيۡظِۖ الْغَیْظِ ؕ— l-ghayẓi rage.
      ك-ل-ل
      كُلَّمَآ كُلَّمَاۤ kullamā Every time
      ل-ق-ي
      أُلۡقِيَ اُلْقِیَ ul'qiya is thrown
      ف-ي
      فِيهَا فِیْهَا fīhā therein
      ف-و-ج
      فَوۡجٞ فَوْجٌ fawjun a group,
      س-ا-ل
      سَأَلَهُمۡ سَاَلَهُمْ sa-alahum (will) ask them
      خ-ز-ن
      خَزَنَتُهَآ خَزَنَتُهَاۤ khazanatuhā its keepers,
      ل-م
      أَلَمۡ اَلَمْ alam "Did not
      ا-ت-ي
      يَأۡتِكُمۡ یَاْتِكُمْ yatikum come to you
      ن-ذ-ر
      نَذِيرٞ نَذِیْرٌ nadhīrun a warner?"
      ٨ ۟ (8)

      ​nearly exploding with fury. Every time a group is thrown into it, its keepers will ask them, “Didn’t a warner come to you?”

      67:9
      ق-و-ل
      قَالُواْ قَالُوْا qālū They will say
      ب-ل-ي
      بَلَىٰ بَلٰی balā "Yes,
      ق-د
      قَدۡ قَدْ qad indeed
      ج-ي-ا
      جَآءَنَا جَآءَنَا jāanā came to us
      ن-ذ-ر
      نَذِيرٞ نَذِیْرٌ ۙ۬— nadhīrun a warner,
      ك-ذ-ب
      فَكَذَّبۡنَا فَكَذَّبْنَا fakadhabnā but we denied
      ق-و-ل
      وَقُلۡنَا وَقُلْنَا waqul'nā and we said,
      م-ا
      مَا مَا "Not
      ن-ز-ل
      نَزَّلَ نَزَّلَ nazzala has sent down
      ا-ل-ه
      ٱللَّهُ اللّٰهُ l-lahu Allah
      م-ن
      مِن مِنْ min any
      ش-ي-ا
      شَيۡءٍ شَیْءٍ ۖۚ— shayin thing.
      ا-ن
      إِنۡ اِنْ in Not
      ا-ن-ت-م
      أَنتُمۡ اَنْتُمْ antum you (are)
      ا-ل-ل-ا
      إِلَّا اِلَّا illā but
      ف-ي
      فِي فِیْ in
      ض-ل-ل
      ضَلَٰلٖ ضَلٰلٍ ḍalālin error
      ك-ب-ر
      كَبِيرٖ كَبِیْرٍ kabīrin great."
      ٩ ۟ (9)

      ​They will say, “Yes, a warner came to us, but we scoffed and said, ‘God never sent anything down— you are very much mistaken.’”

      67:10
      ق-و-ل
      وَقَالُواْ وَقَالُوْا waqālū And they will say,
      ل-و
      لَوۡ لَوْ law "If
      ك-و-ن
      كُنَّا كُنَّا kunnā we had
      س-م-ع
      نَسۡمَعُ نَسْمَعُ nasmaʿu listened
      ا-و
      أَوۡ اَوْ aw or
      ع-ق-ل
      نَعۡقِلُ نَعْقِلُ naʿqilu reasoned,
      م-ا
      مَا مَا not
      ك-و-ن
      كُنَّا كُنَّا kunnā we (would) have been
      ف-ي
      فِيٓ فِیْۤ among
      ص-ح-ب
      أَصۡحَٰبِ اَصْحٰبِ aṣḥābi (the) companions
      س-ع-ر
      ٱلسَّعِيرِ السَّعِیْرِ s-saʿīri (of) the Blaze."
      ١٠ ۟ (10)

      ​And they will say, “Had we listened or been rational, we wouldn’t be among the inmates of the blaze.”
