س-ا-ل

يَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ
یَسْـَٔلُوْنَكَ
yasalūnaka
They ask you
ع-ن

عَنِ
عَنِ
ʿani
about
ن-ف-ل
![]()
ٱلۡأَنفَالِۖ
الْاَنْفَالِ ؕ—
l-anfāli
the spoils of war.
ق-و-ل
![]()
قُلِ
قُلِ
quli
Say,
ن-ف-ل
![]()
ٱلۡأَنفَالُ
الْاَنْفَالُ
l-anfālu
"The spoils of war
ا-ل-ه
![]()
لِلَّهِ
لِلّٰهِ
lillahi
(are) for Allah
ر-س-ل
![]()
وَٱلرَّسُولِۖ
وَالرَّسُوْلِ ۚ—
war-rasūli
and the Messenger.
و-ق-ي
![]()
فَٱتَّقُواْ
فَاتَّقُوا
fa-ittaqū
So fear
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهَ
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
ص-ل-ح
![]()
وَأَصۡلِحُواْ
وَاَصْلِحُوْا
wa-aṣliḥū
and set right
ذ-و
![]()
ذَاتَ
ذَاتَ
dhāta
that
ب-ي-ن
![]()
بَيۡنِكُمۡۖ
بَیْنِكُمْ ۪—
baynikum
(which is) between you
ط-و-ع
![]()
وَأَطِيعُواْ
وَاَطِیْعُوا
wa-aṭīʿū
and obey Allah
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهَ
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
and obey Allah
ر-س-ل
![]()
وَرَسُولَهُۥٓ
وَرَسُوْلَهٗۤ
warasūlahu
and His Messenger,
ا-ن
![]()
إِن
اِنْ
in
if
ك-و-ن
![]()
كُنتُم
كُنْتُمْ
kuntum
you are
ا-م-ن
![]()
مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
مُّؤْمِنِیْنَ
mu'minīna
believers."
They ask you about the spoils of war. Say, “The spoils are for God and the messenger. So be conscious of God, and reconcile dissension among you. And obey God and God’s messenger, if you are believers.”

ا-ن-ن-م

innamā
Only
ا-م-ن

ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ
l-mu'minūna
the believers
ا-ل-ل-ذ
![]()
ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
(are) those who
ا-ذ-ا
![]()
إِذَا
اِذَا
idhā
when
ذ-ك-ر
![]()
ذُكِرَ
ذُكِرَ
dhukira
Allah is mentioned
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهُ
اللّٰهُ
l-lahu
Allah is mentioned
و-ج-ل
![]()
وَجِلَتۡ
وَجِلَتْ
wajilat
feel fear
ق-ل-ب
![]()
قُلُوبُهُمۡ
قُلُوْبُهُمْ
qulūbuhum
their hearts,
ا-ذ-ا
![]()
وَإِذَا
وَاِذَا
wa-idhā
and when
ت-ل-و
![]()
تُلِيَتۡ
تُلِیَتْ
tuliyat
are recited
ع-ل-ي
![]()
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
عَلَیْهِمْ
ʿalayhim
to them
ا-ي-ا
![]()
ءَايَٰتُهُۥ
اٰیٰتُهٗ
āyātuhu
His Verses,
ز-ي-د
![]()
زَادَتۡهُمۡ
زَادَتْهُمْ
zādathum
they increase them
ا-م-ن
![]()
إِيمَٰنٗا
اِیْمَانًا
īmānan
(in) faith,
ع-ل-ي
![]()
وَعَلَىٰ
وَّعَلٰی
waʿalā
and upon
ر-ب-ب
![]()
رَبِّهِمۡ
رَبِّهِمْ
rabbihim
their Lord
و-ك-ل
![]()
يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
یَتَوَكَّلُوْنَ
yatawakkalūna
they put their trust.
The only believers are those whose hearts tremble when God is mentioned, and who are increased in faith when the signs of God are recited to them, and who trust in their Lord;

ا-ل-ل-ذ

ٱلَّذِينَ
الَّذِیْنَ
alladhīna
Those who
ق-و-م
![]()
يُقِيمُونَ
یُقِیْمُوْنَ
yuqīmūna
establish
ص-ل-و
![]()
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
الصَّلٰوةَ
ṣ-ṣalata
the prayer
م-م-ا
![]()
وَمِمَّا
وَمِمَّا
wamimmā
and out of what
ر-ز-ق
![]()
رَزَقۡنَٰهُمۡ
رَزَقْنٰهُمْ
razaqnāhum
We have provided them
ن-ف-ق
![]()
يُنفِقُونَ
یُنْفِقُوْنَ
yunfiqūna
they spend.
those who pray regularly, and give of what We have provided them.

ا-و-ل-ا

أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
اُولٰٓىِٕكَ
ulāika
Those -
ه-م
![]()
هُمُ
هُمُ
humu
they are
ا-م-ن
![]()
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ
l-mu'minūna
the believers
ح-ق-ق
![]()
حَقّٗاۚ
حَقًّا ؕ—
ḥaqqan
(in) truth.
ل
![]()
لَّهُمۡ
لَهُمْ
lahum
For them
د-ر-ج
![]()
دَرَجَٰتٌ
دَرَجٰتٌ
darajātun
(are) ranks
ع-ن-د
![]()
عِندَ
عِنْدَ
ʿinda
with
ر-ب-ب
![]()
رَبِّهِمۡ
رَبِّهِمْ
rabbihim
their Lord
غ-ف-ر
![]()
وَمَغۡفِرَةٞ
وَمَغْفِرَةٌ
wamaghfiratun
and forgiveness
ر-ز-ق
![]()
وَرِزۡقٞ
وَّرِزْقٌ
wariz'qun
and a provision
ك-ر-م
![]()
كَرِيمٞ
كَرِیْمٌ
karīmun
noble.
They are the ones who are truly believers; there are ranks in the presence of their Lord for them, and forgiveness, and a generous provision;

أَخۡرَجَكَ
اَخْرَجَكَ
akhrajaka
brought you out
ر-ب-ب

رَبُّكَ
رَبُّكَ
rabbuka
your Lord
م-ن
![]()
مِنۢ
مِنْ
min
from your home
ب-ي-ت
![]()
بَيۡتِكَ
بَیْتِكَ
baytika
from your home
ح-ق-ق
![]()
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
بِالْحَقِّ ۪—
bil-ḥaqi
in truth,
ا-ن-ن
![]()
وَإِنَّ
وَاِنَّ
wa-inna
while indeed,
ف-ر-ق
![]()
فَرِيقٗا
فَرِیْقًا
farīqan
a party
م-ن
![]()
مِّنَ
مِّنَ
mina
among
ا-م-ن
![]()
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ
l-mu'minīna
the believers
ك-ر-ه
![]()
لَكَٰرِهُونَ
لَكٰرِهُوْنَ
lakārihūna
certainly disliked.
like when your Lord sent you forth from your house rightly, though a faction of the faithful were certainly averse,

ج-د-ل

يُجَٰدِلُونَكَ
یُجَادِلُوْنَكَ
yujādilūnaka
They dispute with you
ف-ي

فِي
فِی
fī
concerning
ح-ق-ق
![]()
ٱلۡحَقِّ
الْحَقِّ
l-ḥaqi
the truth
ب-ع-د
![]()
بَعۡدَ مَا
بَعْدَ مَا
baʿdamā
after what
ب-ي-ن
![]()
تَبَيَّنَ
تَبَیَّنَ
tabayyana
was made clear,
ك-ا-ن-ن-م-ا
![]()
كَأَنَّمَا
كَاَنَّمَا
ka-annamā
as if
س-و-ق
![]()
يُسَاقُونَ
یُسَاقُوْنَ
yusāqūna
they were driven
ا-ل-ي
![]()
إِلَى
اِلَی
ilā
to
م-و-ت
![]()
ٱلۡمَوۡتِ
الْمَوْتِ
l-mawti
[the] death
ه-م
![]()
وَهُمۡ
وَهُمْ
wahum
while they
ن-ظ-ر
![]()
يَنظُرُونَ
یَنْظُرُوْنَ
yanẓurūna
(were) looking.
arguing with you about right after it had been clarified, as if they were being driven to death right before their eyes.

ا-ذ

And when
و-ع-د

يَعِدُكُمُ
یَعِدُكُمُ
yaʿidukumu
Allah promised you
ا-ل-ه

ٱللَّهُ
اللّٰهُ
l-lahu
Allah promised you
ا-ح-د
![]()
إِحۡدَى
اِحْدَی
iḥ'dā
one
ط-و-ف
![]()
ٱلطَّآئِفَتَيۡنِ
الطَّآىِٕفَتَیْنِ
ṭ-ṭāifatayni
(of) the two groups -
ا-ن-ن
![]()
أَنَّهَا
اَنَّهَا
annahā
that it (would be)
ل
![]()
لَكُمۡ
لَكُمْ
lakum
for you -
و-د-د
![]()
وَتَوَدُّونَ
وَتَوَدُّوْنَ
watawaddūna
and you wished
ا-ن-ن
![]()
أَنَّ
اَنَّ
anna
that
غ-ي-ر
![]()
غَيۡرَ
غَیْرَ
ghayra
(one) other than
ذ-و
![]()
ذَاتِ
ذَاتِ
dhāti
the armed
ش-و-ك
![]()
ٱلشَّوۡكَةِ
الشَّوْكَةِ
sh-shawkati
the armed
ك-و-ن
![]()
تَكُونُ
تَكُوْنُ
takūnu
would be
ل
![]()
لَكُمۡ
لَكُمْ
lakum
for you.
ر-و-د
![]()
وَيُرِيدُ
وَیُرِیْدُ
wayurīdu
But Allah intended
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهُ
اللّٰهُ
l-lahu
But Allah intended
ا-ن
![]()
أَن
اَنْ
an
to justify
ح-ق-ق
![]()
يُحِقَّ
یُّحِقَّ
yuḥiqqa
to justify
ح-ق-ق
![]()
ٱلۡحَقَّ
الْحَقَّ
l-ḥaqa
the truth
ك-ل-م
![]()
بِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ
بِكَلِمٰتِهٖ
bikalimātihi
by His words,
ق-ط-ع
![]()
وَيَقۡطَعَ
وَیَقْطَعَ
wayaqṭaʿa
and cut off
د-ب-ر
![]()
دَابِرَ
دَابِرَ
dābira
(the) roots
ك-ف-ر
![]()
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
الْكٰفِرِیْنَ
l-kāfirīna
(of) the disbelievers
And when God promised one of the two parties would be yours, you wanted the unarmed one to be yours, but God wants to verify right through divine words and cut the root of the scoffers,

liyuḥiqqa
That He might justify
ح-ق-ق

ٱلۡحَقَّ
الْحَقَّ
l-ḥaqa
the truth
ب-ط-ل

وَيُبۡطِلَ
وَیُبْطِلَ
wayub'ṭila
and prove false
ب-ط-ل
![]()
ٱلۡبَٰطِلَ
الْبَاطِلَ
l-bāṭila
the falsehood,
ل-و
![]()
وَلَوۡ
وَلَوْ
walaw
even if
ك-ر-ه
![]()
كَرِهَ
كَرِهَ
kariha
disliked (it)
ج-ر-م
![]()
ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ
الْمُجْرِمُوْنَ
l-muj'rimūna
the criminals.
to verify right and prove deception futile, even if the guilty take offense.

ا-ذ

When
غ-و-ث

تَسۡتَغِيثُونَ
تَسْتَغِیْثُوْنَ
tastaghīthūna
you were seeking help
ر-ب-ب

رَبَّكُمۡ
رَبَّكُمْ
rabbakum
(of) your Lord
ج-و-ب
![]()
فَٱسۡتَجَابَ
فَاسْتَجَابَ
fa-is'tajāba
and He answered
ل
![]()
لَكُمۡ
لَكُمْ
lakum
[to] you,
ا-ن-ن
![]()
أَنِّي
اَنِّیْ
annī
"Indeed, I am
م-د-د
![]()
مُمِدُّكُم
مُمِدُّكُمْ
mumiddukum
going to reinforce you
ا-ل-ف
![]()
بِأَلۡفٖ
بِاَلْفٍ
bi-alfin
with a thousand
م-ن
![]()
مِّنَ
مِّنَ
mina
of
م-ل-ك
![]()
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
الْمَلٰٓىِٕكَةِ
l-malāikati
the Angels
ر-د-ف
![]()
مُرۡدِفِينَ
مُرْدِفِیْنَ
mur'difīna
one after another."
Then you asked for help from your Lord, who answered you, “I will assist you with a thousand angels, one after another.”

م-ا

وَمَا
وَمَا
wamā
And not
ج-ع-ل
![]()
جَعَلَهُ
جَعَلَهُ
jaʿalahu
Allah made it
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهُ
اللّٰهُ
l-lahu
Allah made it
ا-ل-ل-ا
![]()
إِلَّا
اِلَّا
illā
but
ب-ش-ر
![]()
بُشۡرَىٰ
بُشْرٰی
bush'rā
good tidings
ط-م-ن
![]()
وَلِتَطۡمَئِنَّ
وَلِتَطْمَىِٕنَّ
walitaṭma-inna
and so that might be at rest
ب
![]()
بِهِۦ
بِهٖ
bihi
with it
ق-ل-ب
![]()
قُلُوبُكُمۡۚ
قُلُوْبُكُمْ ۚ—
qulūbukum
your hearts.
م-ا
![]()
وَمَا
وَمَا
wamā
And (there is) no
ن-ص-ر
![]()
ٱلنَّصۡرُ
النَّصْرُ
n-naṣru
[the] victory
ا-ل-ل-ا
![]()
إِلَّا
اِلَّا
illā
except
م-ن
![]()
مِنۡ
مِنْ
min
from
ع-ن-د
![]()
عِندِ
عِنْدِ
ʿindi
from
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهِۚ
اللّٰهِ ؕ—
l-lahi
Allah.
ا-ن-ن
![]()
إِنَّ
اِنَّ
inna
Indeed,
ا-ل-ه
![]()
ٱللَّهَ
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
ع-ز-ز
![]()
عَزِيزٌ
عَزِیْزٌ
ʿazīzun
(is) All-Mighty,
ح-ك-م
![]()
حَكِيمٌ
حَكِیْمٌ
ḥakīmun
All-Wise.
God only made it good news, to set your hearts at rest. And there is no victory but from God. for God is almighty, most wise.
